SPG puts itself on ‘all time threat alert’ for PM securty
JUNE 26 (WTN) - The Ministry of home affairs has issued an ‘all time threat alert’ on the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to information, the home ministry has released this alert after reviewing two incidents of Maharashtra and West Bengal. Actually, in the past in Pune, Police find a few papers from unknown Naxals group, in those papers there was mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assassination should be done like as former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination was. There was a lot of dispute between the BJP and the Congress over this issue.
In the meantime, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to West Bengal on a tour, a young man successful entered in PM Modi’d six-layer security circle and touched his feet. Taking these two incidents very seriously, the home ministry has issued a new security manual to the Special Protection Group (SPG), which holds the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all the state police chiefs as well.
According to information from sources, the new security manual states that security checks of every person who comes near the Prime Minister are compulsory. It has been clarified in the rules that without security checks, ministers and senior officials should also not be allowed to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, there should not be any person close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose necessary is not required there.
The home ministry has also advised the Prime Minister's office and senior BJP officials to keep minimum road shows of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the forthcoming assembly elections and Lok Saha election to be held in 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been advised to avoid such programs in which people are likely to get close to him. The home ministry has given special instructions to the ‘Close Proximity Team’ of SPG that only those people should be allowed to come in the close proximity area, who has already been completed the checking process.
According to information from the sources, the number of tactical team commandos, who has always been with Prime Minister, has also been increased. Apart from this, the home ministry has considered Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal and Punjab as very sensitive and all the security agencies including state governments have been asked specifically to remain alert during Prime Minister's visit.
