By 2030, the goal of eliminating extreme poverty can be easily achieved

JUNE 27 (WTN) - There is happy news for the Modi government. According to a report released by the American research agency on poverty in India, the number of poor in India is declining rapidly in the last few years. Not only this, it has also been said in the report that the status of being the poorest country of India has been over.
According to the report, 44 people every minute in India are rising above the poverty line. According to the report, it is the fastest rate of poverty reduction in the world. This claim has been published in a report released by the American research firm ‘Brookings blog, Future Development’. According to this report, by 2022, only 3 percent of the people in the country will be below the poverty line. Not only that, the number of people living in extreme poverty will be almost eliminated in the country by 2030.

According to the report, the number of the poorest people in the world at present is in Nigeria. So India is third in terms of poverty where Congo at the second place. According to the information, by the end of May 2018, the number of extremely poor people in Nigeria was approximately 8.7 million, while about 7.3 million people were registered below the poverty line in India.

For your information, let you know that there is a separate scale for measuring poverty in India. According to the World Bank report, between 2004 and 2011, the number of poor people in India declined from 38.9 percent to 21.2 percent. In 2011, the purchasing power of people in India was close to $ 1.9 per person. Economic experts believe that due to the rapid economic growth in the country poverty has come down.

According to the experts, in the last 10 years, on the economic development of the country, the goal of eliminating extreme poverty can be easily achieved by 2030. To achieve this goal, growth rate has to be consistently maintained seven to eight percent.

According to the 'Future Development' report, the world's most poverty in Africa is almost two-thirds of the world. The report estimates that on September 1, 2017, 647 million people were living below the poverty line in the world. Now every minute in the world, 70 people are coming below the poverty line, which are close to the goals of the sustainable development goal (92 people per minute).

If the number of poor is declining in India according to the report, it can be assumed that both the Manmohan Singh government and the Narendra Modi government have worked in the right direction in the country. As far as policies are concerned for the poor, both the governments have implemented many policies for the poor, but if the country is to be liberated from poverty soon, then the right benefits of these policies should be reached to the needy so that soon India will be free from poor.
