‘Wait and watch’ politics in Karnataka!
JUNE 30 (WTN) - In the politics of Karnataka the ‘argumentation’ is continue these days. In order to keep the BJP away from the power, both the Congress and JDS parties together formed the coalition government. But since the government formation, the ‘differences’ between these two parties and the ‘dissolution’ of the legislators within the party are being reported.
Among the differences between the Congress and JDS coalition government, senior BJP leader and former Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yeddyurappa has claimed that many MLAs of Congress and JDS are feeling ‘uncomfortable’ in their respective parties. Not only this, Yeddyurappa also claimed that the ‘dissident’ MLAs of Congress and JDS are ‘ready’ to join the BJP.
Former Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yeddyurappa also termed the Congress and JDS coalition as ' impious'. Yeddyurappa also asked the leaders of his party to contact the "disgruntled" MLAs of the Congress and JDS and strengthen the party by bringing them in BJP; he said all this in the meeting of BJP's executive committee in Bangalore.
Former Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yeddyurappa said, "In the current political situation, many leaders of Congress and JDS are ready to join BJP. I urge the leaders to work towards strengthening it by connecting the honest and capable people with the party." He said, "Those who are ready to come to join BJP, we reach them to their homes individually. He will have to talk to them to bring them to the party (BJP) and strengthen the party for Lok Sabha election.”
According to sources, the Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah is not happy with the functioning of JDS leader H.D. Kumaraswamani, who has become the chief minister with the support of his (Congress) party. As per the sources it is said that Siddaramaiah is ‘thinking’ to fall the government. At the same time, Kumaraswami had also said. “He does not care how many days he will be able to run the government.” JDS also said that coalition government in Karnataka is not on the mercy of Congress.
For your information, let you know you that when Siddharamaiah was the Chief Minister, he had presented an interim budget in February. After the formation of coalition government, the leaders of the Karnataka Congress had said that the budget which was presented by the chief minister of Siddharamaiah was excellent and should be forwarded by Kumaraswamy, but Kumaraswamy is showing his ‘recalcitrance’ to present his new budget.
Midst of the agitation between Congress and the JDS, Yeddyurappa had visited Ahmedabad and met party president Amit Shah, after this the speculation about the new political equation in the state got a boost. According to information received from the media, the BJP is still looking ‘confident’ to form a government in the state, though BJP does not want to take any step in this regard in ‘impatience’.
