Congress 'strategy' with BSP for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh
JULY 14 (WTN) - Only a few months remain for the Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly elections. In this way both the BJP and the Congress have started working on their own strategy. There is BJP government in all these three states, and the BJP will contest in the assembly election on its own, there is no 'doubt' on it.
But the Congress, which is passing through a bad phase, is adopting 'strategy' to take part in these three states. After the defeat in consecutive assembly elections, Congress has now come out on 'coalition politics'. In Karnataka, Congress has formed a government in collaboration with JDS to keep the BJP away from the power. It is believed that the Congress is preparing for the 'pre-election coalition’ for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly elections.
Congress national president Rahul Gandhi held discussions with the congress in-charges of these three states and discussed whether to combine alliance with BSP or other regional parties in these states. Rahul Gandhi met with Madhya Pradesh in charge Deepak Babaria, in-charge of Rajasthan Avinash Pandey and Chhattisgarh's P.L.Punia.
According to information received from the media, Congress has tied up with the BSP for the Madhya Pradesh assembly election. According to Madhya Pradesh Congress committee in-charge Deepak Bavaria, "The ongoing dialogue with the BSP in the state of Madhya Pradesh is progressing satisfactorily. The formula for sharing of seats is confidential, on which nothing will be said in front of the media."
It is believed that this Congress move is under its 'important strategy'. In order to keep the anti-BJP votes united, the Congress has decided to combine alliance with the BSP. For your information, let you know that in the 2013 assembly election, the BSP had won four seats in Madhya Pradesh, and was in second place in almost a dozen seats. This is the reason why the Congress does not underestimate the BSP's strength and going ahead for coalition.
At the same time, Congress leaders in Rajasthan are not looking in any mood of coalition. According to Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot, the Congress is capable of defeating the BJP in Rajasthan.
Let's talk about Chhattisgarh, the former chief minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi, who had formed a separate party by rebelling in Congress, had met with BSP supreme Mayawati recently. In the 2013 assembly elections, the BSP won single seat in Chhattisgarh, while was second place at two seats. It is believed that the Congress wants to keep together BSP at any cost in Chhattisgarh.
