People’s University conferred as India’s Best University for promoting Research

WTN- People’s University, Bhopal has been awarded with a prestigious India’s Quality Education Award 2018 by Corporate Council for Leadership and Awareness (CCLA) in the Progressive India Conclave, 2018 held at Agra. The award was given in recognition of university’s contribution for promoting research.
People’s University has been conferred as India’s Best University for promoting Research
People's University had taken a leadership role in research a decade ago. The research wing of People’s University, Centre for Scientific Research and Development (CSRD) was inaugurated by Former President of India, H.E. Mrs Prathiba Patil. CSRD is working on cutting edge researches in field of life science and biomedical science.
People’s University initiated and completed Mission Thousand Research Plan for development of new techniques, new methods, new approaches and new innovation in fields of science and technology. The noble part of Mission TRP was to complete the research for larger benefit of poor, unreached and deprived section of the society. This initiative has been a model for other universities to emulate. The team successfully achieved targets of Thousand Research Plan within one year with quality researches, inter-departmental co-ordination, intense supervision of programme implementation, research collaborations, continuity of training, ensuring best performance strategies, technical discussions with experienced resource persons and creation of enabling research environment.
Megha Vijaywargia, Trustee and Director People’s Group and Mayank Vishnoi, Director People’s Group received the award from Prof S P Baghel, Cabinet Minister Government of Uttar Pradesh at a glittering ceremony in the august presence of Dr Avadhesh Yadav, Additional PS Prime Minister’s Office of India, Naveen Jain Mayor, other dignitaries and leading educationists from the country on behalf of Suresh N Vijaywargia, Chancellor People’s University Bhopal, who could not attend the programme due to health reasons.
Megha Vijaywargia appreciated the efforts of CCLA in the field of quality education. Modestly accepting the honour she said that the team would be motivated to further strive to build world-class quality education with prime focus on promoting research and innovation. Mayank Vishnoi was also pleased with the honour and recognition bestowed upon People’s University and was on an opinion that the People’s University will initiate more and research avenues for betterment of society.
