Overtime amount of demonetization to be recovered from the employees of merged five associate banks’ with SBI

JULY 17 (WTN) - Around 70,000 employees of India's largest bank SBI are surprised whether such an order can also be given by any bank management. The matter is very interesting, if you know, then you will also get laugh, then fell sadness and anger. Now let's tell you in detail what is the whole matter.

All you know about demonetization in India. During the demonetization, the employees of the country's banks had worked very hard day and night, which was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. Now talk about the SBI, India’s largest bank SBI had announced to give amount for overtime to its employees, who worked in overtime during demonetization.

Meanwhile, on April 1, 2017, five associate banks of State Bank of India, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Travancore and State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur merged in SBI. The employees of these banks also had to work in overtime during the demonetization, so they also got amount of overtime.

So far everything is fine. According to the information received from the media, the case took a new turn when SBI asked about 70,000 employees of these five merged banks with SBI to return the amount received for overtime during the demonetization. According to information received from the media, SBI has written to all the zonal headquarters in this regard that the overtime payment was only for SBI employees and not for the merged five associate banks employees.

Not only that, according to information received from the media, SBI has said that the amount of overtime given to employees of the merged five banks would be recovered. SBI has cleared that the responsibility of giving amount of overtime to the employees of merged banks employees is not to SBI, but the responsibility of those five banks which were not merged during demonetization.

According to the information, SBI is now investigating the matter that how the employees of the merged five associate banks had given permission to be paid amount of overtime during the demonetization. For your information, let you know that during the demonetization, thousands of employees of banks had to do overtime from November 16 to December 30. In return, one year later, they got up to Rs.30 thousand in the form of overtime.

This order of SBI has been started to oppose. Bank unions have demanded withdrawal of this order while opposing the order of the recovery of money. According to information received from the media, no response has been received from SBI in this case.
