No entry for Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath in Rahul Gandhi’s new team !

JULY 18 (WTN) - Congress is preparing for the Lok Sabha election, and looks in mission mode. Congress president Rahul Gandhi has announced his new team to counter BJP's strategy for 2019 Lok Savbha election. In the first look, it seems that Rahul Gandhi is trying to get balance in the team, but many questions arise, in Congress Working Committee, veteran leaders like Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath, CP Joshi and Janardhan Dwivedi are missing.

If we have look at Rahul Gandhi’s team of CWC then his team seems balanced with both experienced and young leaders. Rahul Gandhi knows that Congress wants to stop the Modi-Shah pair in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, so Congress needs both the experience of senior leaders of the Congress and the zeal of the young leaders. But still Rahul Gandhi has expressed greater confidence in younger leaders than veteran leaders.

It is believed that Rahul Gandhi has tried that the factionalism in the Congress Party in the states should be restrained. So many senior and experienced leaders have not been given place in the new Congress working committee. There are 23 members in Rahul Gandhi's new team, including 18 permanent invitees and 10 special invitees. Six former chief ministers have also been given place in the CWC team.

Once upon a time, Janardhan Dwivedi was very close to Sonia Gandhi, but Rahul Gandhi has shown him the way out form his team. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi has excluded CP Joshi (Rajasthan), Digvijay Singh (Madhya Pradesh), Kamal Nath (Madhya Pradesh), and Madhusudan Mistry (Gujarat) from the team of CWC.

It is believed that Rahul Gandhi has taken this step to remove factionalism. Ashok Gehlot replacing CP Joshi from Rajasthan, Digvijay Singh and Kaml Nath, from Madhya Pradesh, replaced by Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Madhusudan Mistry (Gujrat) replaced by Ahmed Patel.

The six former chief ministers have been included in Rahul Gandhi’s team like Ashok Gehlot, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Oman Chandi, Tarun Gogoi, Siddaramaiah and Harish Rawat.

In Rahul Gandhi's CWC, there are no place for many faces which were considered very close to the Gandhi family. These include Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath, BK Hariprasad and Karan Singh.

With the support of this team, it is believed that Rahul Gandhi will contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha election to give fight to Modi-Shah duo. But will Rahul Gandhi be able to win the Lok Sabha election by keeping away the leaders like Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath and CP Joshi from his team, or else Rahul Gandhi has prepared ground for clash by not giving importance to many senior leaders in his team.
