‘Strict rules' in Congress for ticket distribution

Ticket distribution seems ‘tough task’

JULY 20 (WTN) – Few months are left for the assembly election in Madhya Pradesh; the Congress does not want to miss any chance to defeat the BJP this time. Far away from 15 consecutive years to the power, Congress has created a ‘strategy’ for distribution of tickets in the assembly election.

According to the information from the media, the Congress has formed a ‘strategy’ for distribution of tickets based on ‘few points’. Let's tell you what these points are.

Those candidates, who lost in the 2008 and 2013 assembly election, will not get the ticket.

Candidates, who lost in the 2013 assembly election by more than 20,000 votes, will not get the ticket.

Candidates, who have been defeated while on ticket of other party or being an independent, will not get the ticket.

If the Lok Sabha candidate has complained against the present MLA, then after the review it will be decided whether the ticket should be given or not.

Two different members from the same family have got an opportunity to contest election and both are defeated and they will not get a chance this time.

If the candidate of the same special caste has been defeated consecutive two times in the assembly constituency, then after the review, other caste candidates will get priority in the ticket.

If any member of the ticket claimant's family is an office bearer or public representative in the BJP organization, then it will be reviewed.

The new members, who have joined the Congress, will get the consensus of local leaders before giving them tickets.

Losing the election in any particular seat for three or more consecutive times will be reviewed. Anyone else will be given priority here.

Lost assembly seats, less than two thousand votes, will be reviewed separately. If the old candidates are active there in this seat, then they will be given priority in ticket distribution.

It is believed that the Congress can combine with the BSP and the SP to apportion the anti-BJP votes. If this happens, the seats which will be given to the allies, the Congress leaders and activists keen for the ticket can get angry and revolt.
