According to the new rules of railway, if the doctor was called for treatment in the train, earlier the first 20 rupees would have been the doctor's fee, but now the fee will be Rs. 100. Although the railways have cleared that in case of a train accident, the assistance of the doctor will be given 'free' to the passenger.

At the same time, railway has also doubled the cancellation charge for the booking of the retiring room. If you book a railway retiring room or dormitory from IRCTC's website, and for some reason you cancel the booking two days before the booking date, you will have to pay 20 percent of the booking amount as a cancellation charge. Earlier its cancellation charge was 10 percent of the booking amount.

If you cancel booking one day ago, then the cancellation charge will be 50 percent of the booking amount. If you book and cancel on same day, then the full amount of your booking will be deducted as the cancellation charge.
