Google launches ‘Titan Security Key’ to curb online fraud

(WTN) Google has introduced hardware key called ‘Titan Security Key’ to curb the security of users from online phishing. Google designed this security according to the Cloud Next 2018. This is a kind of Fido Creative Security Key that will save enterprise customers from online attack. According to the media report, Google has saved more than 85 thousand Google employees from online phishing (fraud) in the last one year with the help of this Titan Security Key. Google's security is currently available for Google Cloud customers. In upcoming time, this feature key can be made available on the Google Store.
Titan is available in two variants of security. First variant uses Bluetooth for mobile and support NFC by two-factor authentication. Whereas, the second variant supports standard USB ports which enable security for PCs and notebooks. Google has developed the firmware of both variants. Google Cloud Product Manager Jennifer Lynn said in a blog post that we have advised Titan Security key to use a much better, anti-phishing anti-cloud admin to avoid dangerous phishing attacks. User's account will be more secure with Titan Security's physical device.

With the launch of Google Titan Security, Google has stepped into the security market. Google has upgraded its traditional 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) to U2F (Universal Second Factor). However, the company is already providing security to users for Google Drive and Gmail. Google's having ‘Ubiko’ services for in house security.
