Why induction cook top is not 'hot'?

AUG 03 (WTN) - Nowadays people make food on induction in almost every home. Gradually induction is becoming a common daily product of kitchen. Induction is quite simple and convenient to use. The reason being popular among women is that it quickly heats up the food content.

But you would think that how does the induction work? After all, why do not we burn even after putting hands on top? While the food gets hot on the induction. Let us tell you how the induction works?

Induction works on the principle of electric induction. Inside the induction there is a Copper coil. When you turn on induction, the power stream reaches into coil. Electricity and Copper coil together produce a magnetic effect. When it comes to contact, the material inside the metallic substance starts heating up.

Electricity and Copper coil, which make volatile magnetic fields, do not have any type of heat. As soon as you place a vessel on the induction cook top, the copper coil inspires the small electric current in the metal vessel, which is called the eddy current. The eddy current flowing in the vessel heats the object kept in the vessel. Therefore, food items kept in induction becomes hot in the short time.

In induction cook top, pottery made of magnetized attraction metal like iron or steel can be used only, because only these vessels effected by magnetic field. Not only that, there is no flame in it, so there is no dearth of energy in the air.
