‘Shock’ by the letter of Accountant General in Madhya Pradesh

AUG 03 (WTN) - There have been many reports that central government’s schemes in Madhya Pradesh are slow, or the plans of the central government are not being implemented properly. What is the reason for this? It will only be known after investigation. But the Chief Accountant General of Madhya Pradesh has expressed ‘strong objection’ to the funds of the central government's schemes. After which the difficulties of the state government have increased.

The Accountant General wrote a letter to the Finance Ministry of Madhya Pradesh, saying, "Many departments of the State Government have deposited the amount of money received for the implementation of central schemes and deposited in the bank accounts of the department from the treasury."

After strong objection and letter of the Accountant General, the Finance Department has sought information from all concerned departments about how much money was deposited in the banks till March 31, 2018? And where it was spent?

According to information received from the media, the Accountant General of Madhya Pradesh has said, "Many departments are depositing funds, allotted to schemes of central and state governments, from the treasury to bank accounts to implement the schemes of the Central and State Government, and this amount is being spent form here”

Describing the withdrawal of money from the treasury in banks like this, the Accountant General asked, "If the Finance Department has given instructions for dealing with bank accounts in this way, then its full information should also be given."

The big question arises, why the department deposited the amount of treasury in the banks? And who ordered to do this? It is also being said that it is not that the state government's department is spending the funds of central government’s schemes in any other schemes?

In this entire case, Congress spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi has targeted state BJP government in a tweet. Chaturvedi has written in his tweet, "The Accountant General has set up the Madhya Pradesh government in the cage. The treasury of Madhya Pradesh is empty and is being spent with the funds of the Center. Here the money is being thrown away."

After the hard line objections and information sought by the Accountant General, it is believed that the opposition has taken a bigger issue before the assembly election. The news came a few days ago that Madhya Pradesh's economic situation is not on right way and if the situation will not be correct within time, then there would be trouble to give salary to the employees. Now see what would be the response from the state government?
