Digvijay Singh motivates 'solidarity' in Congress
AUG 04 (WTN) - The 'factionalism' in the Madhya Pradesh Congress is not hidden from anyone. Form the last 15 years, Congress is being defeated in assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, but still, 'factionalism' can still not be denied in Congress. It is said that in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress is not being defeated by the BJP, but the Congress is being defeated by the ‘factionalism’ of party.
Veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for ten consecutive years, has taken the responsibility of 'unity' in the Madhya Pradesh Congress these days. Madhya Pradesh Congress Coordination Committee Chairman Digvijay Singh says that the impact of his unity visit will be seen in the Assembly elections.
As you may recall, a few days ago, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had allegedly called Digvijay Singh an 'anti nationalist’. Here, while targeting Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Digvijay Singh has said,”The Jan Aashirwad Yatra of CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan is being arranged by government machinery.”
This is not the first time that efforts of unity in the Congress are going on. Even before this, attempts for ‘unity’ were made even at the Central level, but it did not show any ‘effect’. Just a few days ago, the incident of molestation and alleged assault in Satna, along with Madhya Pradesh Congress in-charge Deepak Bavaria, has come to light, this does not show the unity in Madhya Pradesh Congress at any label.
It is said that there is ‘estrangement’ between Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Many times there has been seen 'tussle' among supporters of both the leaders. In such a situation, while Digvijay Singh himself has been accused of factionalism, so this is interesting to see how much unity he can bring to the Congress.
