AUG 17 (WTN) - Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is called Bhishma Pitamah of Indian politics, is no more with us today. On Wednesday, August 16, at 5.05pm, he breathed his last in AIIMS. Atalji became the Prime Minister of the country three times. Everyone is remembering Atalji. Although he could complete his term only once, remaining two times he could become the Prime Minister of the country for 13 days in first term and then 13 months for second term.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee took the oath as the prime minister of the country first time on May 13, 1996.
In 1996, he had to resign 13 days after forming government. He could not prove the majority, after that he resigned.

During his second term, Atalji conducted nuclear test in Pokhran on May 13, 1998. Atomic testing is considered to be one of his most important decisions.
