Prasad said that this company, owned by Facebook has been asked to make corporate office in India and to appoint a Complaint Officer. We do not want the answer to any question from the US. He said that WhatsApp has been asked to create a system of sharing information about messy and terror prone messages. He also needs to find out where these messages are being released. Whatsapp will have to keep Indian data in India too.
Prasad also appreciated the work of Whatsapp and said, "Our meeting with CEO was very good and I appreciated the work done BY Whatsapp for the relief, education and health care in Kerala." Last month, Whatsapp COO Matthew Edema met with Secretary of Information and Technology and other government officials in connection with Fake News.
