Fuel gets expensive due to costly crude oil and weakened rupee

AUG 27 (WTN) - Prices of petrol and diesel have begun to reach record levels due to weakening of rupee against dollar due to the Turkish crisis and costlier by 5 percent in crude oil in a week. According to information received from the media, the price of one liter diesel in Delhi has gone up to 69.46 rupees today. At the same time, Diesel has reached the highest record price here. According to the information, this is the first time that Diesel is getting here at such a high price.

While talking about cities other than Delhi, diesel in Kolkata is sold at Rs 72.31 a liter, while in Chennai, diesel is selling 73.38 rupees per liter. According to the information, in these two cities, diesel is also getting in the record price.

Talk about the economic capital of the country Mumbai, so there is also an increase in diesel prices. Today, the price of one liter diesel in Mumbai has been Rs 73.74 per liter.

Petrol is also expensive as well as diesel. Talk to Delhi, the price of petrol has increased by 13 paise per liter. After that, one liter petrol in Delhi is getting 77.91 rupees per liter. At the same time talk to Kolkata, you have to pay 80.84 rupees for one liter of petrol here.

In Mumbai, the price of one liter petrol has gone up to 85.33 rupees, and in Chennai you will have to pay 80.94 rupees for one liter petrol.

Now the question arises why diesel and petrol are being sold expensive again. So, for your information, let you know that once again, international prices of crude oil have started to rise. Crude oil prices have increased by up to five percent in the past one week.
In addition to the rise in crude oil prices, the rupee, which has weakened against the dollar, has also worked to increase fuel prices. If you talk about today, then the rupee has remained above 70 label now. There is a decline in the rupee due to the ongoing economic crisis in the European country Turkey.

With the rupee weakening against the dollar, oil companies have to spend more on importing crude oil. Due to these reasons, fuel prices are increasing.

For your information, let you know that at the beginning of the year, the price of one liter of petrol in Delhi was around 70 rupees while today petrol is sold around 78 rupees. That is, the price of petrol in Delhi has been increased by almost 10 percent since January.

At the beginning of the year, the price of diesel in Delhi was around 60 rupees per liter, while today; diesel is getting Rs 69 per liter in Delhi. That is, this year so far diesel price has been increased by 15 percent in Delhi.

If the rupee continues to weaken against the dollar, then the price of both petrol and diesel can reach 90 in the coming days. And if this happens then the BJP, which is in power at the Center, can face many challenges in assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
