BSP ‘preparations’ for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh

Tuesday - August 28, 2018 1:25 pm , Category : WTN SPECIAL

Before the alliance with Congress in the assembly election, the BSP prepared its 'report'

AUG 28 (WTN) - As the time passes for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, political parties are engaged in making their own 'strategies'. Where the BJP will be contesting on its own in the electoral field under the strategy of contesting elections in the entire state, on the other side, Congress and the other parties have formed a strategy to encroach BJP through 'coalition' to prevent 'polarization' of anti-BJP votes.

In the corridor of politics of Madhya Pradesh, it has been discussed for a long time that both the Congress and the BSP will be in the electoral fray with the 'coalition'. But so far it is only a matter of discussion that the Congress and the BSP will have alliance for assembly elections. Meanwhile, before the alliance with Congress, the BSP has prepared 'ground report' for the election.

The BSP has 'influence' in many seats in Madhya Pradesh. In the 2013 assembly election, the BSP won four seats. At the same time, the BSP gained more than 10 thousand votes in 62 seats and more than thirty thousand votes in 17 seats. On this basis, the BSP has itself claimed to be 'strong' in these seats. According to the BSP, as per this survey, the BSP’s situation in the state is ‘good’.

The BSP has claimed to be ‘strong’ in 75 seats based on the votes gaining in the last elections. It is being said that this report of Madhya Pradesh will be sent to BSP chief Mayawati, after that if there is any possibly  alliance with the Congress on the basis of the same report, then seats will be divided.

The situation of 'doubt' about the alliance between the Congress and the BSP for the assembly elections has remained for a long time. It has happened many times when such statements have come from Congress leaders that on the basis of these statements one can say there is a coalition between the two parties, and the decision on the seat sharing is to be decided. But any ‘official statement’ about this has come neither from the Congress high command nor on behalf of BSP chief Mayawati.

In the politics of Madhya Pradesh, there has been ‘main fight’ between Congress and the BJP for the assembly election, but the BSP has been successful in winning some seats in assembly elections. In the last elections, the BSP had realized its strength by winning four seats. The BSP has a ‘great influence’ in Vindhya, Bundelkhand and Gwalior-Chambal region engaged in the UP from Madhya Pradesh.

If both the Congress and the BSP contest assembly election in coalition, then it will lead to ‘a great challenge’ for the BJP. If the Congress and BSP will contest with coalition, then the 'polarization' of anti-BJP votes will be stopped and this full benefit will go in favorer of Congress-BSP alliance. It is being said that both the parties can combine to defeat the BJP, but the number of seats the Congress gives to the BSP in the alliance is resting on everyone's eyes.
