'Political mercury’ climbed by the statements of François Hollande and Dassault aviation on Rafale

After the new revelations on Rafale; Rahul Gandhi targets on Narendra Modi, says, “The PM has betrayed India”

SEP 22 (WTN) - The politics that is being held on Rafale is in continuation. One by one explanation on Rafale deal is coming from France, after which there is a continuation of the statements in Indian politics. Let us briefly explain the statements and the political movements after that.

Following the statement by former French president François Hollande in the latest developments, now the French government has said that it was not in any way involved in selecting Indian industrial partners for the Rafale fighter jet deal. The French government has clarified that French Companies have the complete freedom to select Indian Companies to enter into a contract.

For your information let you know that earlier it was reported in the media that former French president François Hollande has said, “The name of the Anil Ambani’s Company Reliance was proposed by the government of India for Rafale deal and there was no option nearby to the Dassault aviation company.”

As soon as this statement of François Hollande came to India, then the ongoing politics of Rafale in India was again emerged. After the statement of François Hollande, Congress president Rahul Gandhi targeted Modi government. Rahul Gandhi, in his tweet, allege Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘cheater’

In his tweets, Rahul Gandhi writes, “The PM personally negotiated & changed the rafale deal behind closed doors. Thanks to François Hollande, we now know he personally delivered a deal worth billions of dollars to a bankrupt Anil Ambani. The PM has betrayed India. He has dishonored the blood of our soldiers.”

Let's talk now of the French aviation company Dassault. So the Dassault has 'confirmed' the stand on the Rafale deal with the Reliance group and the government of India. Regarding this deal, the company says, “It itself has chosen 'Reliance' Company of India for the deal.” By issuing a statement, the company has said, “The Reliance group has been selected as per the defense process 2016 Rules.”

Dassault aviation has said, “While referring to the situation, Rafael's deal was a different kind of contract between India and France, in which Dassault aviation had to invest 50 percent of the cost of purchase in India i.e. according to the rules set by Rafale fighter jets were making in India.” According to the Make in India policy, Dassault aviation decided to be partner with the Indian company Reliance group and it was the 'choice' of Dassault aviation. This partnership started construction of joint venture named Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) in February 2017.

The French aviation company Dassault aviation says, “They and Reliance has set up a plant in Nagpur for the construction of the Falcon and Rafale fighter jet. Nagpur has been selected because there is a direct route from the airport to the runway and sufficient land is available.”

For your information let you know that this new controversy has emerged after news published on Friday in the French news website MediaPart. In this article published in the French language, French President François Hollande has said, “The French government had no role to enter into an agreement with Anil Ambani's Company Reliance and for the Rafale deal; the Indian government has suggested Anil Ambani's Reliance Company so the Dassault aviation had no other option.”

Now it is necessary to see what statement of Modi government comes out in this new controversy. Former French president François Hollande and Dassault aviation both have their own claims. Now the Modi government should clear the situation before the people of India whether the name of Anil Ambani's company was proposed by the Modi government or not?

If the name was not proposed then why was the aviation sector public company Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd not included in it? For your information let you know that defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said about Rafale fighter jet, “Hindustan Aeronautics Limited doesn’t have the capability to make Rafale.” While former HAL chief TS Raju clearly says that when they could make the 25 ton weighted Sukhoi-30 fighter of the fourth generation, then why could not Rafael?

If the Modi government doesn’t clear the entire situation on the Rafale issue during the time, the BJP could face public anger in the forthcoming assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections. After the Bofors controversy, the Congress had to face defeat in the 1989 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, if the whole deal would not be cleared before the Indian public by the Modi government, then the BJP would have to face defeat like Congress.
