Army is the ‘main player' in the Pakistan politics: Shahid Khakan Abbasi

SEP 25 (WTN) - There is a saying in Pakistan that there is ‘dictatorship’ of two 'A' in the Pakistan. One ‘A’ stands for 'AMERICA', and the second ‘A’ stand for 'ARMY'. The whole world knows that the elections in Pakistan are just ‘pretense’; the Army has the 'real power' in the Pakistan. For the debt and to remain in close relationship with the rest of the world, the elected democratic government in Pakistan is just ‘pretentious’; the rest of the work is done by the Army ‘behind the scenes’.

"In Pakistan, the Army is dominated and governments act on the verge of it", this is said by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khakon Abbasi. Further Abbasi said, “The former cricketer Imran Khan's government as a 'puppet government.' He said, “The Army in Pakistan is still a boss.” Abbasi says that the Army in Pakistan is 'interfering' in the process of politics and decision-making.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Shahid Khakon Abbasi was banned for contesting the elections in June 2008, which had a lot of controversy. Since then, PML (N) leaders have alleged that the Army, in Pakistan, is 'interfering' in the internal affairs of the country.

Shortly after the release of Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain Safdar, the former Prime Minister Abbasi again accused the Army of being the 'main player' in the country's politics. In an interview given to a local channel of Pakistan, Abbasi said, "The media is being curb and the courts are complaining similarly."

For your information let you know that the Pakistani Army has always denied that it has a role in the politics of the country to show the world. But everyone knows that without the 'permission' of the army in Pakistan, the governments are not 'free' to take decisions in foreign as well as in internal issues.

That whole world saw on the TV, when during addressing in an international platform, immediate Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received a 'slip' by an Army officer, after which the whole world saw Nawaz Sharif making some changes in his speech. It was evident, that what Pakistani Prime Minister has to say and what he has not to say is decided by Pak Army.

Everyone knows that Imran Khan has been a 'puppet' of the Army. Pakistan's opposition parties have made serious allegations that the Pakistani Army has ‘helped’ Imran Khan in the election, which led to Imran Khan's party PTI win. In gestures, former Prime Minister Khakani says that the Army is above the law in the country.

Pakistan's relations with India have always been 'stressful'. Pakistan's Army never wants good relations of Pakistan with India because if it happens, then the 'value' of the Army will be ‘reduced’. Whenever there is talk of peace between India and Pakistan to be started, Pakistan's Army has promoted 'terrorist activities' in India with the help of ISI. In such a case, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Abbasi’s word is 'true'.
