Keeping away from election campaign: Has Digvijay Singh realized the ‘reality’? Or there is any 'strategy'?

OCT 16 (WTN) - Digvijay Singh is a name in the politics of Madhya Pradesh, which neither the Congress nor the BJP can ‘refuse’. Digvijay Singh, who was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for ten consecutive years from 1993 to 2003, has always been in the 'headlines' due to his statements, or it can be said that due to his statements, Congress sometimes has been reviled. In Congress, Digvijay Singh's opponents say that due to Digvijay Singh's ‘bad governance’ Congress had lost so badly in the year 2003, and Madhya Pradesh's voter does not vote for Congress after remembering the rule of Digvijay Singh. Due to which the Congress has faced defeat three times in a row.

After losing the Congress election in 2003, Digvijay Singh had announced the 'abandonment' from politics for ten years, after 'abandonment', he again became 'active' and this time trying to unite Congress workers by his ‘Ekta Yatra’ to win the assembly elections. But in the meantime, he has made 'distance' from the campaign in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. Regarding this, Digvijay Singh says, "Whoever gets the ticket, even if the enemy gest the ticket so work for his victory. And my job is only one, no campaign, no speech. By giving my speech, Congress’ votes are shortened, so I don’t go."

As you know, voting is going to be held in Madhya Pradesh on 28th of November for assembly elections. As you that Congress is away from the power in Madhya Pradesh for 15 consecutive years, so Congress is trying its best to win elections this time. But in the meanwhile, Digvijay Singh says that he will not campaign because the Congress’ votes are shortened by his speech, it is a very important and political statement by him.

For your information, let you know that Congress national president Rahul Gandhi is doing road shows and rallies in Madhya Pradesh, in which Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are seen, but Digvijay Singh remains 'missing'. It is said that Rahul Gandhi is keeping Digvijay Singh away from himself under a thoughtful 'strategy’. The talks of the alliance with the Congress-BSP for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections were going on, but suddenly BSP chief Mayawati told Digvijay Singh to be ‘responsible’ for not being a coalition between Congress and BSP.

But the big question is, why has Digvijay Singh kept a distance from the election campaign? It is said that there has been an old 'political rivalry' between Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Digvijay Singh is known for his 'independent' politics and he doesn’t believe in anyone's 'pressure' or 'control' in his politics. Since Jyotiraditya Scindia is very junior to Digvijay Singh, in such a case, former chief minister Digvijay Singh might be feeling uncomfortable in working under Jyotiraditya Scindia’s control.

Since Jyotiraditya Scindia is the president of the Congress Election Campaign Committee, it is said that his lot of supporters can get tickets in this assembly election, due to this reason; Digvijay Singh may have kept 'distance' from the election campaign. A few days ago when Rahul Gandhi came to Bhopal in party workers meeting, Digvijay Singh’s supporters became 'angry' when Digvijay Singh's cutout was not displayed there. It is being said that Digvijay Singh is currently looking ‘angry’ from the Congress for several reasons and therefore he has 'abstained' from giving speech including election campaign.

Well, Digvijay Singh is also right to say that his ‘speeches’ and ‘statements’ harm the Congress party. That is, it can be said that Digvijay Singh has realized that the Congress has had to suffer due to his speeches and statements. So many times, due to the statements of Digvijay Singh, Congress party has to 'clearance’ that Digvijay Singh’s statement was personal statement that the party doesn’t have the any affiliation with the statement given by him. Well, if Digvijay Singh has kept himself away from the election campaign, then surely it will be his 'political strategy’, because Digvijay considers any decision very well. Now let's see how much advantages the Congress gets from not campaigning of Digvijay Singh, or else there is an 'inside strategy' of Digvijay Singh for Jyotiraditya Scindia.
