Due to NOTA, BJP loses 10 seats to less than 2,000 votes

DEC 14 (WTN) - After being in the government for 15 years in Madhya Pradesh, BJP lost Assembly elections, after which Shivraj Singh Chauhan resigned as Chief Ministerial post. Chhindwara MP Kamal Nath will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of the state after the Congress victory in the Assembly elections. For more than 10 years, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who had been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, once again he could swore the oath of chief minister, if the BJP workers worked hard on those 10 seats where the party lost less than 2,000 votes.

There are 10 seats in the state where the BJP candidate is defeated by less than 2,000 votes and the NOTA gets more votes than the BJP candidate's defeat margin. If on these seats, the BJP workers inspired voters to vote for the BJP instead of the NOTA, it could have been possibility of victory of the BJP candidate, so once again Shivraj Singh Chauhan could be the chief minister.

Let us tell you about these 10 seats where the BJP candidate lost by less than 2,000 votes and NOTA got more votes than the difference of victory margin.

Congress candidate Rahul Singh Lodhi defeated Jayant Malaiya from Damoh by just 798 votes while the NOTA got 1,299 votes.

Congress candidate Shivdayal Bagari defeated Rajesh Verma of BJP by 1,984 votes, while 3,734 people pressed the nota NOTA button in Gunnour Assembly seat.

In the Rajpur Assembly seat, Bala Bachchan of Congress defeated BJP's Antar Singh Devi Singh Patel by a margin of 932 votes, 2,485 people pressed the NOTA button in this seat.

In the Rajnagar Assembly seat, Congress candidate Vikram Singh defeated BJP's Arvind Pateria by just 732 votes, while 2,485 people opted for NOTA in this seat.

Congress candidate Sumitra Devi Kasdekar defeated BJP's Manju Rajendra Dadu by 1264 votes, while 2,551 people pressed the NOTA button in the Nepanagar Assembly seat of Burhanpur district.

Congress candidate Dang Hardeep Singh defeated BJP candidate Radheshyam Nandlal Patidar by just 350 votes in Suvsara assembly constituency. In Suvasara Assembly seat, here in this seat, 2,976 people pressed the NOTA button.

From Mandhata Assembly constituency, Congress candidate Narayan Patel defeated BJP's Narendra Singh Tomar by a margin of 1,236 votes, while 1,575 people pressed the NOTA button here.

Congress candidate Govardhan Singh Dangi defeated BJP candidate Narayan Singh Panwar by only 826 votes, while the 1,481 people pressed the NOTA button in the Biaora Assembly constituency of Rajgarh district.

From the Gwalior-South seat, Pravin Pathak of Congress defeated BJP's Narayan Singh Kushwaha by 121 votes, 1,550 people pressed the NOTA button in this seat.

From Jabalpur-North Assembly constituency, Congress candidate Vinay Saxena defeated BJP's Sharad Jain by just 578 votes. 1209 people pressed the NOTA button on this seat.

In the result of the Assembly elections, the Congress won 114 seats and the BJP won 109 seats. If the BJP candidate could win on these 10 seats, perhaps today, the political situation of Madhya Pradesh would be somewhat different. If the BJP had won in these 10 seats, the BJP would have 119 seats at present and the Congress 104 seats.

That is, if BJP workers could be successful to convey the voters for voting in BJP favor in these 10 seats, then with the victory of 10 seats, Shivraj Singh Chauhan would be the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the fourth time, but this could not be done, and these 10 seats, due to lack of booth management, the BJP faced defeat and the BJP was out of the majority.
