DEC 25 (WTN) - Late Pandit Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a person who was different from politics and was 'acceptable' to all. The leader of each party believed in him as there was a deep connection among Atalji and everyone in the ideological mindset. There was Atalji’s intimacy with Congress, left and other party leaders. About Atalji, the great leftist leader Jyoti Basu used to say, "A good man is in the wrong party."
Atalji, who had been Prime Minister of India therr time, had many qualities in which all praises, but one of his qualities was that he didn’t miss to express his heart expression in words. Mamta Banerjee, who is known for her grumpy nature, was the railway minister in the Cabinet during Atalji’s Prime Minister ship. Mamta Banerjee was the Minister of Railways from October 13, 1999 to March 16, 2001 in Atalji's cabinet.
In return for support to Atalji's government, TMC leader Mamta Banerjee used to ‘pressurize’ him for work from time to time. It is said that many times Mamta Banerjee also gave the ‘threat’ of withdrawal of support, but Atalji used to conciliate her. Because Atalji knew that Mamata Banerjee's support was ‘very important’ to the government, so he used to hear Mamta Banerjee's angry words.
Once Atalji went to Kolkata when he was Prime Minister, and during this time, he went to meet Mamta Banerjee's mother, Gayatri Devi, to her home.During the meeting with Mamata Banerjee's mother Gayatri Devi, Atalji taunted on Mamta Banerjee. While complaining of Mamta Banerjee to her mother, Gayatri Devi, Atalji said, "Sister, your daughter hurts me very much, she quarrels with me, you tell me what I should do?”
After listening to Atalji, Mamata Banerjee's mother, Gayatri Devi smiled and said, "You are elder to her, you have right to remonstrate her.” By listening to Atalji and his mother Gayatri Devi’s conersation, Mamta Banerjee smiled and understood That Atalji is worried because of his tiredness and has said his expression of heart in gestures. Sp it was the cleverness of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who today is being remembered in the entire country.
