DEC 26 (WTN) - After long wait, Kamal Nath government's Cabinet has finely been formed. Winning the assembly elections after 15 years in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress has done its best to balance the cabinet on the basis of regional, cast and factional representation in the state. In the Kamnath cabinet, 28 ministers have taken oath, in which Malwa-Nimar and Gwalior-Chambal region can be seen in the dominant position that is because the Congress, in both these regions, demolished the BJP's stronghold in the assembly elections and formed the government.
Although Chief Minister Kamal Nath has tried to give representation to all the regions of Madhya Pradesh on the basis of representation in his Cabinet, most 9 ministers have been included from the Malwa-Nimar region. Among the ministers included from Malwa Nimar region are Vijaylaxmi Sadho, Sajjan Singh Verma, Hukum Singh Karada, Bala Bachchan, Sachin Yadav, Surendra Singh Baghel, Tulsi Ram Silat, Umang Singhar and Jitu Patwari.
After Malwa-Nimar, the maximum six ministers have been included from the Central Zone. At the same time, five ministers are from Gwalior-Chambal area, under the influence of Jyotiraditya Scindia. Whereas 4 ministers are from Mahakausal and three ministers represent the Bundelkhand region.
Let’s talk about the Vindhya region, so this time the performance of Congress in the Vindhya region is not comparatively good. In this election, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Ajay Singh himself lost the election. In such a case, only one MLA Kamleshwar Patel has been included in ministry.
Talking of cast equation in the cabinet of Kamal Nath, Rajputs have been given special preference in this. 8 Rajput legislators have been included in Kamal Nath cabinet. At the same time, 6 MLAs of SC, 4 from OBC category, 4 from ST, 3 from the Yadav community, two from the Brahmin society and one from Muslim community have taken oath as the minister. At the same time 2 women legislators have been included in the cabinet. Both of these women legislators also represent the Scheduled Castes.
Arif Aqueel, the only Muslim face in the Cabinet, has been winning consecutive elections from Bhopal-North constituency. Talking to women ministers at the same time, Vijayalakshmi sadho, who has been Rajya Sabha MP and minister in the state, won elections from Maheshwar, she has taken oath as minister in Kamal Nath cabinet. Sadho is a veteran woman leader of Congress in the Nimar region. At the same time, the second lady minister, Imtari Devi who is MLA from Dabra, is considered to be close to the MP Jyotiraditya Scindia.
If you talk about the cabinet of Kamal Nath government, then 10 supportive MLAs of Kamal Nath, 9 of Digvijay Singh, 7 of Jyotiraditya Scindia and one MLA of Arun Yadav group have been given place. As the Dindori, MLA Omkar Singh Murkum is the choice of Rahul Gandhi.
