Benevolent decisions: Lower berth quota in trains for the elderly and women increased; Now single father to get child care leave

DEC 28 (WTN) - The Modi government has always tried to provide maximum facilities to the citizens of the country on 'humanitarian grounds' so that they have 'ease' and 'simplicity' in their lives. Keeping in mind the human vision, the Modi Government has taken two 'important decisions' which will benefit the 'needy'. Let’s describe you what are these important decisions that will benefit the general public?

First of all, let’s talk to senior citizens and women, Railways has increased the quota of lower berths (lower seats) for senior citizens and women travelers in trains in Mail, Express, Rajdhani and Duranto trains. This information has been given in an official order issued by the Railways. For your information, let you know that at present, 12 lower berths have been prescribed for senior citizens, women above age of 45 and pregnant women in sleepers class, AC-3 tier and AC-2 tier.

At the same time, the number of reserved seats for them in the Rajdhani, Duronto and in the complete AC express trains is seven. In the order issued by the Railway Board, it said, "This matter has been reviewed and it has been decided that the increase in the Joint Reservation quota for senior citizens, women of the age of 45 years and above and pregnant women."

While the railway board has 'revised' the quota for those mail express trains, which have only one coach these categories, have been increased 12 to 13 seats. While the number of seats in these trains has more than one coach, the number of seats has been increased to 15. At the same time, the number of seats reserved in the Rajdhani, Duronto and other AC trains has been increased from seven to nine.

Here, in another decision of the Modi Government, it has decided to give 'child care leave' for 'eligible' men too. For your information, let you know that working woman has the provision of Child Care Leave (CCL) to take care of children. At the same time, the men will also be able to take such a leave to care for their children, who are single fathers, that is, they don’t have a wife and who are divorced.

For your information, let you know that the 7th Pay Commission had made a great effort to provide relief to the employees in the form of single parents to care for their children. Child care leave for the single father was recommended by the commission itself. After this, the central government has issued a gazette notification to provide child care leave for the single parents.

As you know, the child care leave was only available to women employees only, but now child care leave will also be provided to single father according to this, men workers will be given 730 days leave to take care of their children during their entire service period. In addition to child care leave, women get 180 days of paid leave, while men can claim 15 days leave for this.
