DEC 29 (WTN) - After losing three consecutive assembly elections in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Congress finely formed the government in the state with external support, the chief minister and the ministers took the oath, but Chief Minister Kamal Nath had to make a lot of efforts in distributing the departments to the ministers. It was being said that Kamal Nath had to work hard on the sharing of the departments to the ministers among the supporters of Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia along with his supporters.

Eventually, after the long time, Chief Minister Kamal Nath had distributed the departments in the ministers, but the list which came after the ministers' claims about the portfolio and along with veteran leaders’ choice for the departments for their supports ministers, was shocking. But the most remarkable thing among all this was that once again status of Malwa-Nimar region increased in Madhya Pradesh politics and many important departments in Kamal Nath Cabinet came to the account of Malwa-Nimar.

If we have look at the departments allotted to all 28 ministers, then it can be said that the ministers have not got the departments of their choice. But in the midst of this, Malwa-Nimar, the cause of congress victory in the state, was clearly marked in the formation of the Cabinet and after distribution of the departments. Ministers of Malwa-Nimar have got important departments. Major ministries such as Home, Forest, Higher Education, Energy, Water Resources, Medical, PWD, PHE, Urban Administration, Narmada Valley, Environment and Tourism have come in the account of Malwa-Nimar region.

As you know, in Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia can be called said as three poles of government and Congress. It was being said that these three senior leaders were asking important departments to their supports and this was the reason for being delays in distributing the departments to the ministers. After not becoming Chief Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia was seeking that his supporters should get important departments, while Digvijay Singh was also in full swing that his supporters would not be neglected.

It is being said that when the matter of the ministers' departments distributing couldn’t solve in Bhopal, then the matter gone to Delhi. It is said that after suggestions and instructions received from the Central level, the ministers were instructed to go to their respective areas, after which the list was released on Friday night.

It may be that although the choice of ministers has not been preferred in the allotment of departments, but important departments have been handed over to ministers who had been ministers during Digvijay Singh's tenure. Like Shajapur's senior legislator Hukum Singh Karada has been given the water resources department. Senior leader Sajjan Singh Verma had sought the Urban Administration & Development, but he has been given the Public Works and Environment Department.

It is said that the Home Department was asked by Tulsi Silawat, but he has been given the PHE and Family Welfare Department. Youth Minister Jitu Patwari wanted the Public Relations Department, but he has been given Sports and Youth Welfare and Higher Education Department.

Similarly, Bala Bachchan, the senior minister, has been given important departments like Home and Prison. Gandhwani Legislator Umang Singar has been given forest department. Former minister elected MLA from Maheshwar, Dr Vijaylakshmi Sadho has been given the responsibility of the Department of Medical Education, AYUSH and Culture.

Malwa-Nimar has contributed a lot in the victory of Congress in the assembly, after which it was being said that a lot of MLAs would take oath as minister from this region and that is what happened. Not only did more ministers from Malwa-Nimar region become, but many important departments also come in the account of Malwa-Nimar.
