People spending more time on private social platforms Whatsapp; loss to Facebook

APR 27 (WTN) - The popularity of Facebook and WhatsApp is not hidden from anyone in the world after the mobile revolution. In today's world, anyone, who has a smart phone, uses Facebook and WhatsApp to entertain and communicate. As you know, WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook five years ago. Now while WhatsApp's proprietary company is Facebook, but WhatsApp is becoming a cause for trouble for Facebook,

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself admitted that WhatsApp is proving to be a 'non-profit' app for our company. According to Mark Zuckerberg, "Because of WhatsApp, people are not giving much time on their company's other social media apps, due to which Facebook is facing challenges in the big commercial markets like India including the US."

At the same time, Facebook CEO Zuckerberg reiterated his point against the poor rules about data localization. However, here he did not take anyone's name explicitly. Zuckerberg said, "You believe that we do not store sensitive data in the country, where due to weak government regulations data can be easily accessed." Zuckerberg further said that our move to data localization is a risk. If we are blocked in a country, then it will harm both our business and community.

At the same time, when asked to Zuckerberg whether private social media platform WhatsApp can replace public platforms like Facebook and Instagram? Then he says, "As the private platform is moving forward we are observing some shortage on the public platform in the country like India because WhatsApp is very popular here."

However, if we observe in the whole world, people want to use both the public and the private social platforms, but the use of the private platform like Whatsapp is increasing day by day. Due to this public platforms are being damaged. About this, Zuckerberg believes that he feels the private social platform as a chance more than a risk. For your information, let you know that WhatsApp, popular throughout the world, has remained unprofitable for Facebook for the past five years.

Actually, there is a scope for the advertisements in the public social platforms like Facebook and Instagram, which gives millions of dollars profit to the company. But as you know the WhatsApp is a private social platform, and there is no scope for the advertising. Therefore WhatsApp is proving to be unsatisfactory for its proprietary company Facebook.

WhatsApp is increasingly popular for personal contact, not Facebook and Instagram. Experts believe that due to data and privacy leak, trend of people is more towards the private social platforms like WhatsApp. Now that people are giving less time on Facebook, in such a way, Concerned of Mark Zuckerberg about WhatsApp is inherently natural that due to WhatsApp, Facebook has to bear the 'loss'.
