After the ban on Masood Azhar, 'bitterness' between the relations of China and Pakistan
Masood Azhar listed as the global terrorist by UNSC after China's 'support', China neglects about Pakistan’s being 'angry'
May 02 (WTN) – After the ‘successful diplomacy’ of the Modi Government, Masood Azhar has finally been declared a global terrorist. For the last ten years, the Indian Government was trying that Masood Azhar should be declared a global terrorist, but from the very beginning China was opposing it in the United Nations Security Council. But in the end, China changed its stereotype and supported India's efforts to declare Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. But there is a big question among all this; is China set Pakistan angry by doing so?
But the big question among these questions is that, what are the reasons that China has agreed in declaring Masood Azhar as a global terrorist? For your information, let you know that after the Pulwama terror attack, when the US, UK and France brought a proposal to the Security Council to declare Masood Azhar, the leader of Jaish-e-Mohammed, a global terrorist, China fiercely opposed.
However, India has repeatedly provided evidence against Masood Azhar, the leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed. But China continued to argue that the evidences are inadequate. The United States, the UK and France continued to pressurize China for not to obstruct the efforts to declare Masood Azhar a global terrorist but to keep happy Pakistan, China remained firm on its rigid attitude. But when the proposal of Pulwama terror attack was abstracted from the proposal then China agreed to declare Masood Azhar as a global terrorist.
Here, foreign policy analysts believed that China would hardly support India in the case of Masood Azhar. However, 14 countries out of 15 countries of the United Nations Security Council were supporting the ban on Masood Azhar, a leader of Jaish, but China continued to maintain its position.
But during this time there were many such developments, after which China had to make changes in its rigid stand and China became flexible about Pakistan's anger and stood with India. It is said that China's trade war with the US, the US sanctions on Iran and the possibility of Modi's return to India again, were the reasons for which China agreed to support Indian efforts to declare Masood Azhar a global terrorist.
It is also being said that due to the support of Masood Azhar, China was seen alone in the whole world. This image of China had become in the whole world that China had a stand to save terrorism and terrorists. After the Pulwama terror attack, the way the whole world stood with India, China realized that it is no longer right to avoid India.
In the case of Masood Azhar, repeatedly being vetoed by China, the US was said to be angry with China. The United States had given a clear message to China that due to China's stern stand on Masood Azhar, the US would once again bring a proposal to the Security Council in collaboration with the UK and France. It is being said that due to this global pressure, China also agreed to declare Masood Azhar a global terrorist.
Experts believe that after China's move, it is being said that its relations with Pakistan are not normal. Either Pakistan is angry with China or China is no longer concerned about Pakistan. For your information, let you know that a few days earlier, the Chinese Government did not show PoK i.e. Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as the part of Pakistan in the China Government news channel. As well as the map which China presented in the One Belt-One Road summit in Beijing showed the whole of Kashmir as the part of India. Not only that, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, who arrived in Beijing to attend the One Belt-One Road Summit. His visit also raised question, when Imran Khan was welcomed by the mayor of Beijing rather than a Minister or Foreign Ministry official.
Foreign policy analysts believe that relations between China and Pakistan are no longer equals or commonplace. For ambitious CPEC project, China has given loan to Pakistan and in a way it has been subjected to it. While assisting Pakistan with poverty and debt, China is using Pakistan's resources heavily. The experts believe that in the CPEC project, Pakistan will be only a colony of China. It may be that after China’s attitude to Masood Azhar, Pakistan will lodge a protest against China, but there is no such courage in Pakistan that it can do so.
Clearly, in the case of Masood Azhar, after supporting India, China has made Pakistan angry, but China knew that if they did not do it, then the message would go to the whole world that China had soft corner with terror. Therefore, China supported India without regard to Pakistan's resentment and supported India's efforts to declare Masood Azhar as a global terrorist.
