Shiv Sena's closeness to Congress-NCP may cost heavy

Some of the party's MLAs 'annoyed' with the Shiv Sena's 'strategy' to form the government!

NOV 20 (WTN) - If there is one question in the mind of the Indian at this time; it is that in Maharashtra that will the Shiv Sena form the government with the NCP and the Congress. After the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, it was clear that the BJP and Shiv Sena would form a government together. But after the results of the assembly elections, Shiv Sena placed a condition before the BJP that the two parties would form a government together only when the chief ministers of both parties would rule for two-and-a-half years.

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP with the largest number of seats rejected the condition of the Shiv Sena and after this, the political struggle started in Maharashtra. The BJP was clear about forming the government in Maharashtra that it will form the government with the Shiv Sena, but the chief minister will remain with the BJP for five years. But the Shiv Sena was just stubbornly holding on to the post of Chief Minister.

Amidst all this, what happened in the politics of Maharashtra was not imagined by any political pundit. Amid the ongoing rift with the BJP, the Shiv Sena started getting signals from the NCP and Congress that both these parties could support the Shiv Sena to keep the BJP away from power. After gradually becoming disenchanted with the BJP, the Shiv Sena began to work on the possibility of forming a government with the support of the NCP and the Congress, and a spate of meetings between the Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress leaders began.

At one time it seemed that the Shiv Sena would soon form a government with the NCP and the Congress. But what is predicted in politics does not happen every time. Till the time of writing this article, talks between Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress in Maharashtra are going on, but the path of government formation is not clear. It is being said that a government may be formed in Maharashtra by 26 November.

That is, the Shiv Sena has insisted that if it forms the government, its leader will become the chief minister, and for this, it is also ready to take support from its anti-Congress and NCP. But there is news among all that the alleged resentment among Shiv Sena MLAs is being seen on the possibility of forming a government with Congress and NCP. According to sources, some Shiv Sena MLAs are not in favor of taking the support of Congress and NCP to form the government. It is also being said that if the Shiv Sena forms a government with the Congress and the NCP, it could lead to a split and rebellion in the Shiv Sena.

The Shiv Sena has become cautious after the news of MLA's resentment surfaced. The Shiv Sena knows that this is the only time that it can form the government and that the resentment of the MLAs should not become a roadblock, hence the party's senior leaders and former Chief Minister Manohar Joshi is doing the work to convince the alleged angry MLAs. It is being told that Manohar Joshi is trying his best to convince the MLAs and they have even met party Chief Uddhav Thackeray with alleged 17 angry MLAs. According to sources, the alleged angry MLAs are from the western Maharashtra and Marathwada region.

But the question arises that after all, why do the Shiv Sena MLAs angry? According to the sources, the alleged angry MLAs say that Shiv Sena has always followed the path of Hindutva and it has done politics on the issue of Hindutva, so taking the support of Congress-NCP to form a government is not right from anywhere. It is also said that the alleged angry MLAs do not want to leave the issue of Hindutva under any circumstances.

It is being said that Shiv Sena may have more than 17 angry MLAs. In fact, both the BJP and Shiv Sena have had ideological similarities and both parties have contested assembly and Lok Sabha elections together. In such a situation, if Shiv Sena joins Congress and NCP to form the government, Shiv Sena will be accused of compromising its core issue Hindutva for the post of Chief Minister and seek support from parties like Congress-NCP. In such a situation, it will be difficult for Shiv Sena MLAs to go among their workers and voters and answer their questions as to why Shiv Sena did this. It is clear that the alleged resentment of some Shiv Sena MLAs is a cause for concern for the Shiv Sena, and it remains to be seen how the Shiv Sena can deal with it.
