Mistake and negligence on social media sites can be costly

NOV 25 (WTN) - As you know, many of our tasks have become easier in the digital age of the modern era. The works for which we once had to spend a lot of time in lines, now those work are done on mobile phones. Admittedly, it has become easier to work, but due to the mistake and carelessness of those who adopt digital technology, their personal data is always at risk.

You must have read or heard about that personal data leaks from some platform. In this era of technology, hackers are also adopting smart methods of breaching. It has been observed that by downloading the app, hackers are sometimes making money from the bank account of the users by simply taking advantage of the mistake and negligence of the users in some other way.

For your information, let us know that now hackers are committing fraud by resorting to Instagram and WhatsApp. Actually, there is similar news of cheating from Jaipur, where hackers breached 46 thousand rupees from the account of a girl named Riya. According to the information, a girl named Riya Sharma from Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, put her personal information in a survey of Instagram. The girl named Riya also put her mobile number in personal information.

Later Riya's mobile number was added to a WhatsApp group. For your information, let us know that there were already four other people in this group. According to Riya, this group used to share the post of goods found on the discount. Seeing the post of the discount on the same group, Riya ordered two bags. After ordering the bag, the group administrator asked Riya to download the PhonePay app. Even so, all was well, but Riya got a link from the group admin to download the PhonePay app. As soon as Riya clicked on this link, 46 thousand rupees were breached from her bank account.

So we advise you to never share your personal information on social media. Also always remember that never click on any unknown link on any social media sites or messaging apps. Never become a member of any unknown group. Remember that the more vigilant and intelligent you are on social media, the more you will be saved from the fraud of hackers. If you have made mistake or negligence due to greed, your bank account can be hacked and you may suffer financial loss.
