Labor Party's defeat in Britain's general election shows the unity of the Indian community

The political dominance of the Indian community increased in Britain after the defeat of anti-India Labor Party election

DEC 16 (WTN) - The results of the General Election held in Britain have declared and while the Conservative Party has won a historic victory in this election, the Labor Party has suffered a drastic defeat. For your information, let us know that this is the biggest defeat of the Labor Party in the UK General Election after 1935, while this victory of the Conservative Party is the biggest victory after Margaret Thatcher. In the 650-member House of Common, the Conservative Party won 365 seats, while the Labor Party could win only 203 seats.

Many issues, including Brexit, were important in the UK elections this time, but a major issue related to India also made headlines in the UK elections and for this reason, the Labor Party did not get the votes of most of the Indian people and it got defeated at least 10 seats. In fact, the Labor Party, inspired by the leftist ideology, found it overwhelming to mention the Kashmir issue in its manifesto during the election. For your information, let us know that Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labor Party, is considered anti-India. Corbyn and his party strongly opposed the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu And Kashmir State. At the same time, the Labor Party had opposed this step of the Government of India by bringing an emergency resolution on this issue.

Labor Party leader Corbyn had tweeted on the issue of Article 370 that he had met with representatives of India's main opposition party Congress in Britain to discuss the state of human rights in Kashmir. After Corbyn's tweet, there was a lot of uproar in India and the BJP accused the Congress of internationalizing the internal issues of the country, after which the Congress had to give its clarification on the matter.

Due to the anti-India stance of the Labor Party and its leader Corbyn, the Government of Pakistan had said in its official statement that they want the Labor Party to win in the UK general election. But Pakistan has suffered a major setback after the Labor Party's defeat in the UK general election. It is said that due to Corbyn's anti-India rhetoric on the Jammu and Kashmir issue and increasing closeness with Pakistan, Corbin could not get the support of a large section of the Indian community.

Annoyed with the rhetoric and proposal against Article 370 of the Labor Party and its leaders, 130 organizations belonging to the Indian community had protested against the Labor Party. These organizations had expressed their displeasure by writing a letter to Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn against the ongoing proposal against the abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir. Organizations associated with the Indian community had said that Jeremy Corbyn's Labor Party had violated the stand of British political parties on Kashmir in which the Kashmir issue has been considered a bilateral issue of India and Pakistan.

For your information, let us know that the Labor Friends of India, a colleague of the Labor Party, regretted the Labor Party choosing fewer candidates of Indian origin. In its letter, the Labor Friends of India regretted that the Labor Party had selected only one candidate of Indian origin from the 39 reserved seats. At the same time, not a single Indian-origin candidate was elected in 100 other seats. Referring to the already tense relations between the Indian community and the Labor Party, the Labor Friends of India warned in a letter that the Indian community could give a major jolt to the Labor Party.

It was only due to the anti-Kashmir stance of the Labor Party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn that people in the Indian community started supporting Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party. This was the first time that the Indian community emerged as a political power in the UK general election and the Indian community openly opposed any party and adopted a strategy of supporting any party. The result of the solidarity of the Indian community on the Kashmir issue has resulted in the Labor Party losing the vote of the Indian community. According to the British media, it is due to the Indian community that the Conservative Party has been able to win at least 10 seats.

This time the Bharatiya Janata Party supporters of the Indian community living in Britain voted fiercely against the Labor Party in the UK general election. The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), a foreign lobbying group associated with the BJP, appealed to Indians in Britain not to vote for the Labor Party. For your information, let us know that there are 48 such seats in Britain, where there is a large number of voters of Indian origin and, these voters can influence the election result.

As we told you, the Indian community lives in the millions of people in Britain. Gradually now this Indian community is showing solidarity in politics. It is being said that there may be a considerable increase in the political power of the Indian community in the coming years so that the political parties which will participate in the UK general election will not be able to ignore India and the Indian community. It is clear that the defeat of the Labor Party in many seats due to the anti-India move on the issue of Article 370 can be gauged by the political power of the Indian community on foreign lands.
