Pakistani players 'discriminate' with Danish Kaneria
Shoaib Akhtar reveals; Danish Kaneria used to be targeted as being Hindu in the Pakistan cricket team
DEC 27 (WTN) - CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) is being confronted by the opposition parties in India and political parties are opening a front against the Central Government regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act. Opposition parties are opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act with their own different arguments and they say why this law excludes Muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan? On the other hand, the Modi government argues that through the citizenship law, the suffering minorities living in these three countries will get the right to get citizenship in India and they will not have to be disturbed there. And in this law, only the minorities living in those countries will be given the citizenship of India.
In fact, from the United Nations Human Rights Commission to many social organizations in the world, has confirmed that minorities and especially Hindus are treated in a secondary status in Pakistan. At the time of partition of India, there used to be a large number of Hindus in Pakistan, but due to the violence of Muslim fundamentalists in Pakistan, today about 3 per cent of the Hindu population is left in Pakistan. Extremeness is common in Pakistan with Hindu girls and women. This is the reason why the Modi government has made it a law to grant the citizenship of India to the mistreated Hindus in Pakistan for their betterment.
But how much discrimination is done against Hindus in Pakistan has been revealed by the fast bowlers of Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar, popularly known as Rawalpindi Express. A video by Shoaib Akhtar, who created a panic among the batsmen due to his fast bowling, revealed that being a Hindu, former Pakistan spin bowler Danish Kaneria used to be targeted in the Pakistani cricket team. After this revelation of Shoaib Akhtar, a period of accusation has started in India's politics and through this, the BJP is now targeting Congress.
In fact, Shoaib Akhtar has revealed in one of his videos that Pakistani cricket players discriminated against Danish Kaneria and did not have food with him because he (Danish Kaneria) was a Hindu. After this revelation of Shoaib Akhtar, Danish Kaneria himself has confirmed that Pakistani cricketers used to do redundancy with him. Danish Kaneria says that they will soon name the players who used to treat him badly.
After Shoaib Akhtar's revelation, former cricketer Danish Kaneria says, "Pakistan players had problems eating with me because I was a Hindu player. Shoaib Akhtar has said right what he has said and I will soon disclose the names of the players who did not even like to talk to me because I was a Hindu. At that time I did not have the courage to speak on it, but now I will speak and tell the names of those players.”
After this video of Shoaib Akhtar, BJP has now become aggressive on other opposition parties including Congress. The BJP alleges that Pakistani cricketers did not have food with Danish Kaneria and were constantly harassed because he was Hindu. The BJP says that Shoaib Akhtar's video is revealing and can be gauged as to how minorities are treated in Pakistan.
The BJP has surrounded the opposition, including the Congress, and said that if international cricketer like Danish Kaneria is being treated in Pakistan like this, then think about how other non-Muslims would be treated. In such a situation, if the Citizenship Amendment Act helps these refugees, then why are the Congress and the Left opposing it?
