Data to be prepared for traders from all over the country

Soon all the information of the traders of the whole country to be collected

JAN 30 (WTN) - Along with farmers, traders also play a very important role in the development of any country. As far as India is concerned, India has been a country of farmers and traders for centuries. Since ancient times, India had trade relations with many countries of the world. If we talk today, according to a survey by NSSO (National Sample Survey Office), there are around 7 crore traders in India who employ about 45 crore people. About 7 crore traders in India trade about 45 lakh crore rupees in a year.

Statistics show that retail traders have contributed significantly to the development of the country. But even after being crores of businessmen, the government and business organizations do not have strong information about all the traders of the country. In such a situation, now on the initiative of the Modi government, the data of traders from all over the country is being prepared. Actually, CAIT (Confederation of All India Traders) on the mode of NPR (National Population Register), the data of traders and employees working in all states and union territories across the country are going to be prepared.

It is being said that with this data, the government and business organizations will get a lot of information. At the same time, it is being claimed that with the preparation of the data of the merchants and their employees working here, the basic problems of the traders and employees will be better understood before the government, and the government will be able to make policies for the business class-based on that data. For your information, let us know that such data of merchants is being prepared by CAIT on the suggestion of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

CAIT believes that Finance Minister Piyush Goyal's suggestion is highly logical and beneficial. According to CAIT, the prepared data of merchants from all over the country will be able to use to demand the right of facilities from the Center Governments and other state governments for the country's retail trade and to formulate a support policy for trade. This step of the Modi government has been praised by businessmen. According to the traders, to date, no government had thought seriously about collecting information about retail traders who contributed significantly to the country's economy which is unfortunate.

Actually, crores of retail traders in the country are a big base of business in the country. But there has been no policy, and nor any separate ministry for the crores of businessmen running the retail business of the country. It is being said that after the data of retail traders is ready, CAIT can demand from the Modi government that a separate department or ministry of retail traders should be set up. According to CAIT, the national 'Merchant Population Campaign' will start from 1 March and will run across the country till 30 September. To collect the details of the merchants, CAIT will create a mobile app through which merchants across the country will be able to enter their details in it.

This campaign of counting of traders will be run with the help of more than 40 thousand merchant organizations spread across the country. In this data many types of information will be obtained from the merchant, such as the name of the merchant's shop, the name of the shop owner, the number of people to the merchant's family, the merchant's shop and home address, landline and mobile number, the type of shop, mail ID of the shop, and information about a website of the shop if it has. Not only this, information about how many employees work in the merchant's shop, and how many members are there in the house of the employee will also be obtained. On merchant data collection, CAIT says that all data collected will be highly confidential, and will be used as needed.

It is obvious that after collecting the data of merchants from all over the country, the government will be able to know how many retail merchants are in the country, and how many people have been provided employment by them. Based on this data, the government will be able to formulate policies in the interest of traders. The government has the data of farmers and employed people, but now with the 'Merchant Population Campaign', the data of traders will also be available with the government. It is natural that on the basis of this data, the government will be able to formulate the right economic policies.
