Modi government trying to remove people's doubts about electric vehicles

FEB 01 (WTN) - As you know the Modi government is working on a plan to use electric vehicles more and more by the year 2030. Actually, diesel and petrol-powered vehicles cause a lot of pollution. At the same time, on the import of petrol and diesel from abroad, the country has to spend about 7 lakh crores of foreign currency every year. In such a situation, the effort of the Modi government is that people should use more and more electric vehicles. But there is a lot of skepticism among the public about electric vehicles.

The first doubt about electric vehicles is that people think that electric vehicles are more expensive compared to petrol, diesel, and CNG run vehicles. At the same time, the battery of electric vehicles is currently expensive, due to which people are avoiding the expense of changing the battery every year. At the same time, the question in the mind of the people is that if the battery of the electric vehicle is reduced or stopped on the way, then where will it be charged?

Well, it is natural that whenever there is a change, there are doubts and questions about it, and something similar is happening with electric vehicles. Let us tell you what is the government's opinion about the skepticism in the minds of people about electric vehicles? And what is there some plan of the government in making to remove this confusion?

According to Amitabh Kant, the CEO of NITI Aayog, for your information, let us know that it is an illusion that electric vehicles will be costlier than petrol-diesel run vehicles. According to Amitabh Kant, "The battery price of electric vehicles is expected to decline by about 51 percent in the coming three years, and so electric vehicles will become cheaper than petrol-diesel run vehicles." It is being said that the current price of electric vehicles battery is $ 156 per kWh; it is expected to be $ 76 per kWh within three years.

Not only this, in the coming time, more use of electric vehicles will reduce environmental pollution, and everyone will get the benefit of it. Along with electric vehicles, there will also be CNG and ELG-powered vehicles. Also, hydrogen can also be used as a fuel in public transport in the coming times. In fact, there is a great need to free the core sector of the economy like roads from carbon emissions. In such a situation, electric vehicles can play the biggest role in it.

Over time, electric vehicles will be cheaper than they are today, but the concern over the worry of electric vehicles being cheap is that the charging stations are just not enough to charge the batteries of electric vehicles. Actually, it is not that people do not like electric vehicles, but due to a lack of charging stations and lack of proper infrastructure, people are currently hesitant to buy electric vehicles at this time.

But the government is also working in this direction. An agreement has been signed between the EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited) and the BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) for charging stations for electric vehicles and infrastructure. Under the agreement, the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) will provide technical assistance to the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) to set up charging related infrastructure for electric vehicles on various highways across the country. Indeed, both the EESL and the BHEL will explore opportunities to boost sales of electric vehicles in the country at a rapid pace. Under the agreement, the BHEL will offer engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions, while the EESL will make all initial investments related to services, operations, and maintenance.

Actually, infrastructure is very important for the rapid promotion of electric vehicles in the country. If more and more charging stations are installed on the highway, then it will encourage people to move from city to city through electric vehicles. According to a study, if electric vehicles have cheaper batteries, traveling on electric vehicles will be significantly cheaper than petrol-diesel vehicles. According to experts, the battery of electric vehicles will also become cheaper by the year 2025, and the use of electric vehicles will increase greatly as the number of charging stations increases. Due to this, the pollution will be controlled for one time, while the country will not have to spend precious foreign exchange for import petrol and diesel.
