The PAN card to become 'inoperative' if the PAN card not linked to the Aadhaar card

MARCH 02 (WTN) - If you have a PAN card, then it is very important to link it to the Aadhaar card before 31 March. If you have not linked your PAN card to the Aadhaar card by 31 March, your PAN card will be inoperative. By the way, most people have linked their PAN card to the Aadhaar card. But still, there are crores of people who have not linked the PAN card to the Aadhaar card. By the way, the PAN card can be easily linked to the Aadhaar card on the smartphone itself. But the PAN cards of many people are not linked to the Aadhaar card because the information provided in the PAN card and the Aadhaar card do not match each other.

For your information, let us know that in order to link the PAN card to the Aadhaar card, the name, date of birth, name of the father, and gender must be the same in both the PAN card and the Aadhaar card. If anyone of the information recorded in the PAN card and the Aadhaar card is missed, then the PAN card and the Aadhaar card are not linked. Actually, while linking the PAN card to the Aadhaar card, the income tax department matches the data from UIDAI, the nodal agency of Aadhaar card. If the information entered in both the PAN card and the Aadhaar card does not match, then the linking request of the PAN card and the Aadhaar card is rejected.

By the way, for your information, let us know that in order to deal with wrong identification or any other disturbance, UIDAI had stopped the partial matching process of necessary information only in December 2017. In such a situation, if you are not able to link your PAN card to the Aadhaar card because of the missing information on both the cards, then you can also use an option to link the PAN card to the Aadhaar card. After all, what is this whole process? Let us tell you about it in detail.

Let us know that due to the different data between the PAN card and the Aadhaar card, you can also link the PAN card and the Aadhaar card with the Biometric Aadhaar Authentication process. To link the PAN card to the Aadhaar card through this process, you must first download the Aadhaar Seeding Request from the portal of NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited). After completing this process, you will have to go to your nearest PAN center and complete the biometric Aadhaar authentication process offline. For your information, let us know that you can get the whole information about your nearest PAN center with the help of the NSDL or UTITSL website.

Explain that this is a one-page form, which is very easy to fill. In this form, you will have to fill your PAN card number and the name recorded in the PAN card as well as the Aadhaar card number and the name registered on the Aadhaar card. After filling this form, and then through biometric authentication, you can easily link the PAN card to the Aadhaar card. Apart from this, there is another option; with the help of that option, you can link the PAN card and the Aadhaar card. For this, you have to update the information entered in one of the PAN cards or Aadhaar cards with another card. After completing this process, you will be able to link your PAN card to the Aadhaar card very easily online.

For your information, let us know that recently the Finance Ministry has informed in the Parliament that about 48 crore PAN cards have been issued so far. But about 17 crores of these PAN cards have still not linked to the Aadhaar card. Here the government has issued a notification saying that any PAN card that will not be linked to the Aadhaar card before the deadline, then that PAN card will be declared inoperative. This would mean that if a PAN card is not linked to the Aadhaar card, then it would be presumed that the person in whose name the PAN card is registered does not have a PAN card. And after that, if the concerned person does not provide his / her PAN card when needed, then it will be considered a violation of the rules. So we suggest that if you have not yet linked your PAN card with the Aadhaar card, link both of them immediately.
