Police showcase their theater skills

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a play “Aks:Ek Nai Bayar” was organized by ADG Aruna Mohan Rao in association with crime against women branch at Bharat Bhawan. The play was directed by Farid Bazmi. ADG Aruna Mohan Rao scripted the play. Many officials of MP Police took time out of their busy schedule to perform in the play.

The play was set in a back drop of hypothesis that despite policemen work for long hours and are always available in any emergency, public thinks that police is insensitive towards them.

The play starts with the story of an sick girl who was made SHO for a day to fulfill her wish. The girl was able to solve the case easily. In the next part, the play also depicts real story of human trafficking .
Taking cognizance of several incidents, the SP forms a committee of women police officers who cracks the case arrests the traffickers. The play also touched issues like gender discrimination, problems faced by women complainants and importance of Dial 100. The play depicted the behavior of police towards citizens and the unnecessary delays in registering the crime. It also highlighted the lacunas left in researching the case, in an over enthusiasm to solve the case as soon as possible.

D P Saxena, Mayuri Gaur, Mohd. Rafiq Khan, Sanjay Rawat, Himanshu Trivedi, Asha Chaudhary, Abha Goram, Mukesh Kumar Thakur, RamBabu, Nitin Pandey, Arpit Pandey, Servesh Vishwarkama, Sunil Kumar Salawat, Bhawana Sonair, Rajani, Arti Rajput, Vijendra Gaur, Anshul Narang, Shilpa Sharma, Dinesh Chand Sagar, Baby Osh Azad, Ram Singh Patel, Vimlesh Patel, Yogesh Karore and  Abhishek Tiwari performed characters in the play.
