Power grid management in concern after Prime Minister Modi's appeal!

APRIL 04 (WTN) - As you know, citizens of more than 200 countries are fighting for their survival due to Coronavirus infection. Coronavirus infection disease, spread from Wuhan city of China, is the biggest challenge for human civilization at this time. At the time of writing this article, 59,197 people have died of Coronavirus infection disease all over the world so far, while 10,99,960 people are infected with Coronavirus infection. In Italy, a developed country of Europe, 14,681 people have been killed due to Coronovirus infection so far. At the same time, in the world's largest economy, America, has the highest number of 2,77,475 people infected with the Coronavirus.

As far as India is concerned, cases of Coronavirus infection are increasing in India too. So far, 62 people have died in India due to Coronavirus infection disease. At the same time, 2,322 people are infected. A 21-day lockdown continues to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection in India. People are following the lockdown on the call of Prime Minister Modi. Only then we have fewer cases of Coronavirus infection than other countries.

There is an ongoing war against the Coronavirus in India. In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the general public to light a lamp, or flashlight with a torch or mobile phone after turning off the power of their house for nine minutes at 9 pm on April 5. But after this appeal by Prime Minister Modi, the concern of the managers of the power grid has increased. And in the meantime, they are preparing to ensure the stability of the grid.

Actually, for your information, let us know that if all the people together in the whole country will turn off their home power, then there is a lot of apprehensiveness of the power grid failing. If this happens, the grid failure will disrupt the entire country's electricity system and stop all emergency services. At the same time, if the grid comes to a standstill, it may take at least a week to restore.

While the power grid is expected to fail due to simultaneous power shutdown across the country, the Power Systems Operation Corporation responsible for the integrated operation of the grid is working to ensure that the grid should work smoothly due to a possible halt, and the power supply system will not come to a standstill across the country. In such a situation, many experts, related to the electricity sector, are of the opinion that lights of the house can be lighted with lamps, candles, torches and mobiles.

For your information, let us know that the Central Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) allows a frequency band of 49.95-50.05 Hertz for normal operation of the grid, and the power grid may come to a standstill if there is any sudden decrease in power supply. Now, if electricity is switched off in crores of houses all over the country, it is likely to fail the power grid. In such a situation, it has to be seen now which type of  measures are taken by the Power System Operation Corporation to deal with this situation so that the grid could work smoothly.
