A 21-day lockdown continues in India

Can the lockdown be removed with some restrictions or can the lockdown period increase?

APRIL 08 (WTN) - The biggest challenge facing the existence of human society at this time is the Coronavirus epidemic. Millions of people from more than 200 countries are affected by the Coronavirus infection spread from Wuhan city of China. At the time of writing this article, 82,096 people have died across the world due to Coronavirus infection. Italy, the developed country of Europe, has the highest number of deaths of 17,127 people due to Coronavirus infection. So at the same time, 4,00,540 people have been infected with Coronavirus infection in America.

As far as India is concerned, as you know that a 21-day lockdown is going on in the whole country to get rid of Coronavirus infection in India too. So as far as possible efforts are being made by the Central and State Governments to implement the lockdown properly. This is the reason that the Coronavirus infection is less spread in India compared other countries of the world, and comparatively fewer deaths have also occurred. But amidst all this, there is the same discussion across India whether after 21 days of lockdown, can the lockdown be extended further?

For your information, let us know that the Group of Ministers, constituted to deal with the Coronavirus epidemic crisis, has recommended to close all educational institutions till 15 May and has also suggested to stop all religious activities where people could be involved. As well as the functioning of malls should also be stopped. In fact, the Group of Ministers has said about the lockdown that the government could either extend the 21-day lockdown, or open the lockdown with some restrictions. For your information, let us know that the Group of Ministers has been formed to review the situation arising due to the Coronavirus epidemic in the country and to suggest to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Group of Ministers, headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, has decided that religious centres, shopping malls, and educational institutions cannot be allowed to resume normal activity for at least four weeks after the 21-day lockdown ends. That is even if the lockdown opens after April 14, given the risk of Coronavirus infection, normal activities cannot be allowed to begin in crowded places until May 15.

While the Group of Ministers has suggested that at least until May 15, such activities should be banned where more people can gather. But on the other hand, the chief ministers of some states suggest that after the 21-day lockdown ending on April 14, it should be extended for a few more days. Now, it has to be seen what decision Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes? It is believed that only after a review of the Coronavirus infection situation, Prime Minister Modi can decide to end the lockdown with some restrictions, or to extend the lockdown period. But whatever the decision will be, be safe at home and follow the rules of lockdown completely.
