Doctors and scientists working on the research to compose the vaccine or medicine of Coronavirus diseases

APRIL 24 (WTN) - With thousands of deaths across the globe due to Coivd-19 and seminal surge in the number of those infected, especially in countries like Spain, Italy, Iran and the US, an effort to find a drug or vaccine for the infection has picked up pace.

Several countries from China, Japan, India, to the UK, US, Australia, and Germany are working hard to crack the genome codes of the virus and go for the human trials of potential vaccines. Various research labs of repute are being funded in dollops by governments to up the scale and pace of their research to promote an early find.

Many scientists and drug-makers have reached tantalisingly close to finding a drug and many of them may start human trials in a month or two. Limited tests of some potential vaccines done by some companies on mice have proved successful and that has accentuated hopes for a successful solution to battle out the pandemic any time in the next 4-5 months.

Perhaps, finding a vaccine is the only and the best solution to check corona virus. From our past experiences, it can be safely said that availability of a drug or vaccine will greatly reduce the prevalence of the disease and save lives the way pox or hepatitis vaccines have. Sooner than later a medical solution for prevention or cure will certainly come up. Till then precaution is our only antidote against Covid-19.
