Cyclone Amfan affected the country's weather to a great extent

MAY 28 (WTN) - If you have noticed, you must have realized that after the strenuous rains in the year 2019, the weather has seen quite strange changed in India. Since the end of the rainy season last year, there has been some rain every month. At the same time, North, West, and Central India are experiencing very hot summer days. In fact, this time, meteorologists are telling the relation of cyclonic storm Amfan behind the terrible heat wave.

For your information, let's know that in India, usually around 15 May, the temperature reaches its peak in the summer. But this year, the temperature reached its peak in the west, north, and central areas of the country after 21 May. According to the Meteorological Department, "The temperature drop may be seen after May 29". According to meteorologists, "The main reason for the delay in the time of increasing temperature in North India is the persistence of western disturbances."

Let's know that when the western disturbance reacts with the two southern seas, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, warm winds are driven from both these seas. According to meteorologists, "A record 20 western disturbances have been observed between the months of January to March this year. Although the effect of this disturbance is seen mostly during the months of December to February, this time the effect was seen till early May."

As you know that this year, there has been some rain every month. That's why, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi received unseasonal rains every month till the month of May due to the easterly winds hitting the Bay of Bengal. This is the main reason that the temperature reached its peak late in the month of May. Here, according to Indian Meteorology, the temperature has been below normal this year so far.

Recently, cyclone Amfan has wreaked havoc in West Bengal and Odisha. And immediately after this, some effect of Super Cyclone is believed to be behind the heat wave condition in most parts of the country. Amfan cyclone has dissipated moisture over the entire southern peninsula, including the Bay of Bengal, over an area of 700 km. Even the Amfan cyclone has reduced moisture from the surface of the Arabian Sea.

During its journey, when the cyclone Amfan extended between Bengal and Bangladesh from May 16 to May 20, all the moisture started to decrease. Now, the moisture is gone, the westerly winds are strengthened. Due to this, there are strong heat conditions in many areas of Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra due to dry northwest winds.
