Now, details easily updated in the Aadhar card
JULY 08 (WTN) - What does Aadhaar card mean to an Indian? You must know that very well. The Aadhaar card is one of the most important documents at present. As you know that from bank related work to passport related work, and from getting government subsidy to other important governmental work, you need the Aadhaar card as an important document.
But there was a time when you had to face a lot of difficulties in correcting any mistake printed in the Aadhaar card, but now it is not so. The Unique Identification Authority of India, the nodal agency that issued the Aadhaar card, has made the process of correcting errors in the Aadhaar cards much easier than before. In this context, UIDAI has started a new process to update the address for the people living on the rented house.
In this process, by using the rent agreement, you will be able to change your address as recorded in the Aadhar card. But for this, it is important that your name should be written in the rent agreement. So let us tell you how you can update your address in the Aadhar card through the rent agreement.
To change the address through your rent agreement in the Aadhaar card, you must first scan your rent agreement. After scanning the rent agreement, keep a PDF of that document. Now, open the official site of the UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/. After opening the site of the UIDAI, you have to click on the address update request (online) on the homepage of the site.
Now, in the new window that opens, you click on the update address and enter your Aadhar card number and log in. As soon as you complete this process, you will get an OTP (One Time Password) on the registered mobile number with Aadhaar. Now, enter this OTP and go to the portal.
By the way, if you want, you can also change your address registered in the Aadhaar by going to the Aadhaar center. For this, you have to take the Aadhaar updation or correction form from the UIDAI website or Aadhaar center. You will find this form in the download section of the website. After filling all the necessary information in this form, you have to give it to the concerned person at the Aadhaar center.
You will have to mention the details in the farm that you need to update. The photocopy of the Aadhaar card as well as the photocopy of PAN card, voter card, or passport will have to be given to update the details recorded in the Aadhaar card.
You can go to the Aadhaar Center to update your name, gender, address, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, photo and biometric details (image of fingerprint and pupil) in the Aadhar card. But you can update all these only to a certain extent and there are some fixed charges for this.
