In fact, this will automatically record the train's running position. Actually, after the agreement between the Indian Railways and the ISRO, the trains can now be monitored by satellite. For your information, let's know that there are 350 section controls of the railways across the country. In which, the decisions are made to operate the trains in a precise manner. Now, the GAGAN of the ISRO is helping in this very difficult and challenging work of the Railways.

Actually, GAGAN is a GPS aided GEO augmented system connected to the RTIS technology. Explain that, initially, it was developed for the air sector. But, now, this system shares the exact information of the speed and location of the train with the Railway after every 30 seconds. And this exact information is now being shared by the Railways with the passengers.

Actually, this new system of the Railways with the ISRO is providing accurate information of the arrival, departure, distance covered, undetermined stoppage of the train, and time taken between sections with the help of the application of information and logic. Actually, this system is bringing ISRO's S-band mobile satellite service to the central location server through the CRIS data center.

Let's know that by improving the efficiency of the train operations; now, the Indian Railways has started satellite tracking of the trains. It is being claimed that by December 2021, the entire freight and passenger rail operations will be tracked via satellite with the help of ISRO.

Actually, this new system is helping the Railways to modernize their control room and railway network to operate the trains in their network. ISRO's GAGAN system has been linked to the Railway's Geo positioning system itself. And, this GAGAN system is giving accurate information about the movement and position of the trains.
