Pentagon claims: China's planning to build military bases around India

At the same time, China is working on planning to build its military bases in Kenya, Tanzania and Angola in Africa. Naturally, all these countries are strategically important for China to surround India in the Indian Ocean.

But, China is not making its navy powerful enough to surround India only. Indeed, China also wants to prevent the US from interfering in the South China Sea: therefore, China has strengthened its navy in view of the challenges of the US besides India.
