This pandemic students of People’s University presented a virtual performance for teachers

People’s University Bhopal celebrated Teacher’s Day in an innovative manner this pandemic where students from the 9 colleges of the University coordinated online and had set up a virtual performance, to thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives of the Peoplites. Maintaing all the norms of social distancing and as per the guidelines of UGC, A cultural extravaganza was organised where in a screening of performances were shown to all the directors , trustees, head of the institutes and the faculties. Students virtually showcased musical and dance performances to appreciate the unwavering commitment of the teachers . A lot of people attended the event through facebook live. Ms.Megha Vijaywargia , trustee and director , People’s Group, was the Chief Guest.The programme started with the singing of Saraswati vandana.
On this occasion Doctors from People’s College of Medical Science also gave some impromptu performances. Dr. Anil Dixit , Dean , People’s college of Medical science(PCMS), Dr. VK Pandya , director Academics, Dr Kavitarati Dharwadkar, head , Department of Biochemistry , Dr. CC Chaubal , Head , Department of Medicine gave some lovely surprise performances.
Dr. Subhash Girdharilal Bagde , Professor Anatomy , People’s Dental Academy and Dr. ST Nagdeote , professor Pulmonary Medicine PCMS, were feliciated on this occasion for their contribution in the growth and development of students and institutes. Group Trustee and Director, Ms.Megha Vijaywargia , Registrar Dr. Neerja Mallick and director Academics Dr. VK Pandya presented them a memento and thanked them for their long and valueable services at People’s University .
In the memory of late Dr. Ajay Bhambal , former dean at People’s University, Registrar Dr. Neerja Mallick announced an annual medal for the meritorious students of final year, Faculty of Dentistry.
NCC cadets of People’s University Nirmaya Lohar and Akash Sonar gave solo dance performances and left everyone delighted. Hosting the event Purvi Jain , reminded teachers of their school days when they as students were taught life skills by their mentors and presented the vote of thanks.
The chief Guest, Ms.Megha Vijaywargia , Trustee and Director , People’s Group and Dr. Rajesh Kapur Vice chancellor People’s University congratulated the teachers for inspiring and nurturing the students to march in the right direction.
This was followed by a musical morning by professional artists and distribution of chocolate boxes organised by the management as a small token of appreciation for the rightly called ‘beacons of light.’
