Modi Government takes big steps for traffic safety
So all 'these' changes to be made in the new bike from now onwards!
SEP 14 (WTN) - In a country with a large population like India, very few people follow the traffic rules properly. At the same time, hundreds of road accidents happen every day due to non-compliance of traffic rules, and many people die in that. However, for the people to follow the rules of traffic strictly, some time ago, the rules of traffic were made very strict also. But, it was also strongly opposed in many places. At the same time, many states had refused to accept these rules.
But, on the other hand, the Modi Government is continuously working to improve traffic safety. In this context, some rules have also been changed for those who ride on bikes. After all, what kind of changes are these? Let's explain this in detail.
According to a guideline released by the Ministry of Transport last month, now the bike maker companies will have to make hand holds behind the driver's seat on both sides of the bike. The purpose behind doing this is to protect the person sitting on the back of the bike. However, most bikes do not have this feature right now. But, the new bikes that will be built now may have hand holds.
At the same time, along with this, foot rests on both the sides have been made compulsory, so that there should not be any difficulty in keeping foot during the ride. Actually, for even more safety of the people sitting on the back of the bike, the guideline states that now at least half of the left side of the rear wheel of the bike should be covered securely. That's why because the rear wheel of the bike does not cover the clothes of those sitting on the back of the bike, and there is no accident due to the clothes getting tangled.
Not only this, but the Transport Ministry has also issued a guideline for placing a light container on the back seat in the bike. The length of this container will be 550 mm, width 510 ml, and height shall not exceed 500 mm. But, you must be wondering what is the reason that you are being asked to place a container on the back seat of the bike? So, let you know that the container will be placed on the rear seat, so that only with the permission of the driver, a person can sit back on the bike.
Here, the Transport Ministry has also issued a new guideline regarding the tire of vehicles. According to this guideline, a tire pressure monitoring system has been suggested for vehicles up to a maximum weight of 3.5 tons. For your information, let you know that through the sensors in this tire pressure monitoring system, the driver will be able to know whether there is more or less air in the tires of the vehicles? At the same time, the Ministry of Transport has also recommended tire repair kits. Well, now, it has to be seen how long these new guidelines of the Ministry of Transport are fully effective, and how much benefit the general public gets from them?
