Does looks really affect your pay?
We all are very much familiar with the blue eyed Pakistani guy who used to have a tea stall has recently became a model just because of his charming looks. Like him there is another person in China who was a worker at the airport and now serving a modeling industry.
Here rises a question, does looks are really important for a job or the person with intelligence and capability without looks does not get success in life. A recent study finds that an average, beautiful people get better jobs, are better paid and receive more praise than their less-photogenic counterparts. Then what about the leaders ruling the world sitting on top with no looks.
Beauty distorts the hiring process but it is not true in all the cases as one of the HR of the recruiting agency told, “We are not beauty biased. We hire and send only those people who are intelligent enough for the job. Beauty is required for a fashion industry not for the corporate industry. “Now days, this agency is leading in recruiting leaving all the industries behind having staff of around 800 people.
With the people the views also differ. On the other part, one of the manager of Multi National Company (MNC) said, “Looks are really important in a job, to attract your clients and to get a business, somewhere you should have that charm.”
The quest for beauty may be a centuries-old obsession, but in the present day the reality is ugly. Beauty still leads the world emphasizing on the working culture and dominating the working atmosphere where less attractive people are still treated as dull reality considering the good looking people.
