People’s Ladies Club organized the Dance and Singing Competition for Kids

With the aim of grooming the dancing and singing skills of the kids, the ladies club of People’s University has organized a competition for the kids aged from 5 to 12 in the auditorium of the campus. The event was inaugurated by the director of People’s group, Ms. Megha Vijaywargia and chaired by some big dignitaries from Bhopal namely Dr. M.S Singh, Dr Dey, ADGP Aruna Mohan Rao, Ms. Seema Raizada, Ms. Renu Yadav and Ms. Sujata Lakhani.

The judges were welcomed with the plants presented by the director. A state of excitement, awe and joy was witnessed by everyone chairing in all high spirits.

The event was also a way to mark the celebration of Navratri as the competition started with melodious voice of a kid singing Sharda maa and ended with the song sung by two little angels positively giving the message of love and peace between the two nations. The words of the song were, ‘Kya Hindu Kya Musalman hum sab hai Bhai Bhai…Pyar Bantthe chalo.’

The event was much appreciated by the judges as Dr M.S Singh presented a song in his charming voice followed by Dr Dey singing a old classical song Dil hoom hoom kare.

Just after the Singing competition, students geared up for dancing mania which was divided into two categories, Solo dance and group dance where kids gave fantastic performances on top songs like Kala Chashma and item numbers of Honey Singh. The dance sequels were very impressive. The untiring effort of the children was a treat to watch.

Though to rate the performances became a very difficult task in the face of the brilliant performances but based on the overall efforts, the results were declared with Akansha Srivastava taking first place in the singing competition followed by Sumit Tyagi on second position and Fabeha Ali grabbing the third prize.

Talking about the dance competition winners. In solo category, the first prize was won by Shreya Rawat, second by Atharva Bishnoi and the third by Avanya Namdev and Sharanya Agarwal. The group dance winners were Navya and group taken the first position followed by Arpit and group wining the second position.

The event was closed with the judges praising the kids and asking them not to disappoint as for them all are the winners. -WTN
