The situation seems to get settle down soon as National Security Adviser (NSA’s) Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Janjua had exchanged talks on call to reduce tension between both the countries.

The situation between India and Pakistan became worse just after the terrorist attack in Uri by Pakistan which was responded back as an surgical strikes by Indian army across the Line of Control (LoC) against terrorists wanted to enter India.

“Both the officials stressed on the need to establish contact to reduce tensions along the Line of Control,” said Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs.

Aziz made a diplomatic statement as at one point he said Pakistan wants to bring down tension and at the other point he said, India tried to escalate tensions with Pakistan at the Line of Control just to deflect the attention of the world from Kashmir issue”.

He also added that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s has told world leaders in his recent visit to the US – that incident of border tensions will continue between the two countries till the issue of Kashmir will not resolve.

Past night, terrorists believed to have entered India across the Jhelum river, attacked an Army camp and an adjacent camp of the Border Security Force, killing one Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and critically wounding another.

To balance the situation and reduce the tension, security forces have been on high alert along the LoC and the international border with Pakistan, and villages within 10 km of these have been rescued.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has also commented on the current situation, “This country has never been hungry for land. We have never attacked any other country.-WTN
