Indian Net Ball Captain Prachi Tehlan makes her acting debut in Diya Aur Batti Hum
Diya Aur baati Hum which has keep the audience enthralled with its action packed tracks will soon see a change in the story line. Very soon Sandhya will be seen going to Pakistan and will try to unite Chotu and Arzoo (Played by Prachi) in the show. Sandhya will be seen being a bridge between the couple and how her efforts will bring her to become a peace maker in the lives of the couple and the two nations.
Prachi Tehlan, who captained India’s netball team in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, will soon be making her TV debut with ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. Prachi will be playing a Pakistani girl, and will be paired opposite Kunal Khosla, who plays Chotu.
Talking about the role, she says, “When I got the call I first thought it was a prank but soon I realized that it was reality. The creative director of the show approached me through my Facebook fanpage for this role. It is a very big change in my career I have actually quit my corporate job in Delhi and shifted my base to Mumbai to be part of this project. While acting will be new for me, I am glad that I have such a supportive team backing me up.”
This is not all the sports woman is very confident that she will lose 15 kg of extra weight that she gained while working because of her sports background.
To crew has been shooting Bhopal for the upcoming track. Along with Prachi, Ruksaar Kabeer Ahmed will be playing Arzoo’s chachi role, Bhavan Chopra who was the security guard in Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be playing Arzoo’s Chacha and Joyshree Arora who played SRK’s mother in Check-De to play Arzoo’s Dadi.- Window To News Network
