Tanned? De-tan
The summer Sun can be brutal to the skin. Despite layers of Sun-block lotion, scarves, gloves and sunglasses the heat can take a toll on the skin. But having an uneven tan is a bigger nightmare.

Difference between sun burn and suntan
Sunburn happens when skin reacts to DNA damage while a suntan is when the skin reacts to over exposure to Sun. Burning is completely unrelated to tanning which means that the skin has been damaged beyond repair. It will only go off when the new skin naturally takes over.
Pamper your skin with home remedies
· Prefer aloe vera gel over all chemical based products.
· A mix of lime juice, rose water in equal quantities with an added pinch of turmeric powder can be applied everyday with cotton swabs can help your skin glow in 15 minutes.
· A paste of overnight soaked almonds with milk cream lightens the skin tone beautifully.
· Slice tomatoes and sprinkle sugar granules on it. Add a little curd and rub it on the affected areas for 10 minutes. This exfoliates, de-tans and hydrates. Curd has bleaching and de-tanning properties as well.
· Apply a paste of oatmeal powder, curd, lime juice and tomato juice on the face, hands and feet for 30 minutes. Wash it with cold water.
· Pat your face with ice cold water. Directly apply curd on the skin and leave it for 2-4 minutes. Rinse it with cold water. You can get the desired result with tomato juice as well.
· Take milk powder, lemon juice, honey and half the measure of almond oil in equal amounts and apply it to the tanned area for 10 – 15 minutes. Wash it with cold or normal water.
· Add little honey to lemon juice to make a paste of it and apply it on the tanned skin.
· Apply potato or cucumber juice or the peeled skins on the face and keep it on till it dries completely. Vitamin C in potatoes has a natural bleaching effect that lightens skin and works on dark spots, blemishes and dark circles. To cucumber juice, you may add a teaspoon of cold milk and keep it for 20 minutes. Cucumber juice can also be stored for a couple of days.
· Mix dried and powdered orange peels with. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash it of with cold or normal water.
· Coconut water is a perfect way to hydrate your skin. You can drink it or apply it to the face and hands and there is no need to rinse it.
Caution
There is a possibility that aloe vera may make your skin extra sensitive to sunlight. Hence, we recommend sunscreen with at least 30 SPF when going outdoors.
Tip
Lemon juice dries up the skin. So, once through with the treatment, make sure you moisturize your hands and feel well.
