All Main Villages of Shahdol to be linked with Roads

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that all the main villages of Shahdol will be linked with roads in the next two years. A special campaign will be conducted for this purpose. He further mentioned that efforts will be taken to provide electricity to all the villages of Shahdol districts.

Chouhan was addressing the beneficiaries’ convention at village Antara of Shahdol district. He also announced opening of college and police station at Keshwahi of Budhar block . Chouhan distributed the benefits of various schemes to 6280 beneficiaries on the occasion.

Chouhan stated that continuous efforts are being undertaken for the all round development for the people of schedule tribe. Food grains and salt at the rate of Re. 1 per k.g. are being provided to the people of SC, ST and weaker section. Scholarships of various kinds are also being provided to the students of SC and ST category in the state for quality education. He further said that now state government has decided to provide scholarships for students of general category.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that no one will become land less in Madhya Pradesh. Reservation of 33 percent has been given to the women in government services excluding forest services. Similarly, 50 percent reservation is provided to the women in education department.

Madhya Pradesh is making efforts continuously for women empowerment in the state. Nutritious food served in aaganvadis will be prepared by the self help groups. Chouhan further mentioned that action plan will be made to link women with employment by organizing state level convention of self help groups at Bhopal.

Moreover, Chouhan said that all the facilities are being provided to the farmers in the state. Any farmer can now obtain loans for agriculture from the bank easily to fulfill his/her immediate needs. Now farmers have to repay Rs. 90 thousand against a loan of Rs. One lakh.

Beautification of Maa Kankali Devi Temple with Rs. 70 lakh

Chouhan laid foundation of beautification of the famous Maa Kankali Temple today. It may be mentioned that work is being carried out related to day shelter and beautification by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation in the Temple Premises. Minister for Mineral Resources, Industry and Trade and District Incharge Rajendra Shukla, Chairman ST Commission Shri Narendra Maravi, Chairman Baiga Development Authority Ramlal Baiga, President Jila Panchayat Shahdol Narendra Maravi , Former Minister and MLA Jaisingh Marawi and MLA Ramlal Routel were present on the occasion.-WTN
